I think players deciding not to play the bowl game broke the team. Sure, there was the snub, but the collective decision not to play was a terrible snub to those who built the program.
Those players not playing “disrespected” those before them and set the course for individual vs group choices.

I don't blame the players for not playing. The national media basically said they're chopped liver without JTrav.

Why risk getting injured or otherwise have your draft stock fall getting embarrassed against Georgia?

If all but J Trav played vs Georgia, I would take our chances. That was a team for the ages.

It totally sucked. Me, as a guy not inside the whole thing, says that I would play. No way. If I am on that team, I play to the end..

I would have played, too.

Undefeated regular season.... won a rivalry game and a conference championship game with a back up QB.... keep fighting... prove the nay-sayers wrong.

Well pretty clearly the 32 best teams in the country are in the SEC....the 16 starting lineups and the 16 2nd strings. Shoot, there are probably at least 3 whose 3rd strings would round out the top 35. Don't believe me, just tune in to finbum fir an hour Monday, he'll explain it to you.
