I think the Chiefs are close (obviously) but they have to improve the starting quality of the o-line and depth. Tonight was not a fluke as we have been so weak there all year.
Choose which wrs we are rolling with (Hollywood Brown, Worthy, Watson... then? Hop is too old and Juju can be replaced for the money).
Corner and depth at corner need to be the primary concern on defense. Need some guys that have to be burners OR big and physical. Can't send all these blitzes with dudes who can't cover... even if they are the backup.
I know he's worked with Andy well in the past but I wonder about a new OC instead of Matt Nagy. He doesn't seem to have those Eric Bienemy powers which he CLEARLY lost after going to Washington to now being fired at UCLA as OC.
All in all, it was another fantastic year. A lot of close wins covered up a lot of issues on the offense. I expected the Chiefs to compete for a title 2 years ago. Last year felt like it was out of left field because there was a lot of rebuilding. This year there was some rebuilding then injuries hit too. Defense is there right now to be great.
And he is friends with Peter Thiel who funded his lawsuit against Gawker as payback. He's like the perfect candidate.
