The Pentagon…lol

Honestly, you're too dumb to insult at this point.

There are lots of things the Pentagon does that the press secretary doesn't know about. This isn't new or surprising for anyone who can rub two braincells together.
And I’m sure they don’t go in public and freaking tell everyone

sigh, the press secretary's job is to state the official position and take any shit that comes with those statements.

Last week 'officially' there were less than 1000 soldiers in Syria. This week it's 'officially' more than 2000. Next week it could be something else.
But to suggest that no on in the pentagon actually knows is ihhawk levels of stupid.

I guess I’m not as dumb as this guy…the guy in charge of telling the press. I guess the last one to know.

Asked repeatedly why he announced the higher figure only now, Ryder reiterated that he had just learned of it himself. “Given that there is significant interest in Syria,” Ryder said, he felt compelled to disclose the correct number.

It's easier if you recognize the press office at the Pentagon (or White House, or whatever organization) is a propaganda outlet, not a fount of truth. They exist to shape opinion.

JFC you are dense. Yes, HE just learned it. Why? Because he's the press secretary and he's only told what the pentagon wants told to the press.
I could draw pictures if that would help you.

I hope you’re not a math teacher. For starters you need to move the decimal point over a couple of digits, Leibniz.
what % is 900 people out of 3,000,000? by the time data bounce around people are sometimes in different spots. I know that's hard.

Wait until you find out that the democrat candidate for POTUS didn’t know we had troops there at all

Totally stuck the landing!
Well I’m not the pentagon press secretary in the dark and I’m also not the journalists from every major MSM outlet who wrote a story about the doubling of the troops with the quote from the guy saying he just heard about it.

Some people, obviously not you, think it’s a news story.

Fuk dude, you nailed it. The story was totally that the press secretary didn't know the real numbers and not that we actually have more soldiers there!

CNN

Ryder said he learned the originally disclosed number was incorrect because he “got word of it recently, as our team was looking at this … and I asked for more information on this, recognizing that if the numbers are not what we briefed, let’s find out what the actual numbers are and go from there.”

Asked if Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was aware of the number of US troops in Syria, Ryder said he is “confident that the secretary is tracking US forces deployed around the world,” but that Austin had not spoken with the commander of US Central Command, Gen. Michael “Erik” Kurilla, who oversees US forces in the region, about this issue.

Well, it’s not .0003%. I already gave you a clue earlier when I told you to move the decimal point.

Please tell me you didn’t spend 30 years teaching math.

Stop being obtuse.

Being able to account for troops in a foreign country currently in the middle of a civil war is pretty big deal.
