Iowa's run should be very interesting to all the P5 teams that aren't blue bloods or start any given season highly ranked. Iowa has shown that that you CAN control your own destiny from week 1 no matter where you start. The reality is that 12-0 is pretty rare and very hard to pull off. Iowa started with no expectations, widely picked 4th in their division. People have knocked Iowa's schedule, but you can't go 12-0 in a P5 without beating at least a couple ranked teams along the way that will give you a boost. You outlast most 1-loss teams and now, with a CCG left to play, the Hawks control their destiny. Every P5 coach in the country should be pointing this out to their teams.
