The weaponization of the DOJ has begun

So it’s not because Trump doesn’t like them, I am shocked we lost our composure again

If you haven't caught onto who trump is yet that I'm not sure what to tell you.

They also dropped charges against Vince McMahon for human trafficking, and pardoned the Silk Roads online drug marketplace and murder for hire site. Trump ran a multi billion dollar crypto scam on his own people and made out like a bandit. He has mentioned several times taking Gaza. He also pardoned the J6ers which it turned out some of those were kid rapists, and he removed security details off of people that he dislikes.

So I think people can read into this.

Is it ok that the DMV tips off a person if a federal law enforcement checks them?

The federal government sets the rules for immigration: entry and removal, criminal and civil penalties, etc.

States have no obligation to assist the federal government - and, in fact - it’s not their responsibility.

If a state wants to willingly turn over information to the feds, they are free to do so. But you can’t sue a state for a role it doesn’t have.

"The Nazis demanded that Germans accept the premises of the Nazi worldview and live their lives accordingly. They tolerated no criticism, dissent, or nonconformity. Hitler's political opponents were the first victims of systematic Nazi persecution."

So you are probably ok anybody coming into your home without knowing who they are ?

I don’t think that’s what he’s asking. I think he’s asking whether a state can commit an affirmative action that might impede the feds. Which sounds vaguely like it could be spun into an obstruction theory so may be civil dj action is actually sort of humane.

I thought his ask was pretty clear: can a DMV tip off the Feds about immigration status? Sure. They can. But enforcement of immigration laws is up to the Feds. The states can certainly decline to be part of the effort.

Hear that folks? States have no responsibility to follow Federal law!

We have one of them State’s Right folks. Must be a Confederate traitor type!

Agreed as to that scenario

Of course it is obstruction. Thousands and thousands of instances. These crimes need to be retroactively charged for the last 4 years. Pull the video tapes and charge the MFs.

You really should consider picking up a newspaper - doesn’t need to be left-leaning either. Read this week’s Wall Street Journal issues and put you’re thinking cap on.
When I posed that question there was nothing available other than the video, pardon me for wanting to get more info

Can I tip off somebody on a potential police raid?

And people wondered why Biden had to pardon people.
Exactly, Trump wants to get back at AG James of NY any way he can because he is a little baby that got spanked for millions.

I wonder what the basis is for this and what standing Bondi thinks she has. Did NY break Fed law? we will find out.

I think the illegals Bondi is talking about are the ones the lame ass TX Gov shipped up there to NY, shit comes back

The DMV in NY isn’t doing that. They’re simply not sharing their information with law enforcement when it comes to immigrant status. Which - if you’ve paid any attention - is not their job.
From the article:

"They have a 'tip-off' provision that requires New York's DMV commissioner to promptly inform any illegal alien when a federal immigration agency has requested their information,"

I'm not sure what you're implying. Of course I'm against people coming into my home without knowing who they are. That's exactly the kind of crap I'm trying to defend against. Trump's government goons showed up to a Mexican restaurant without a warrant and starting detaining everyone.

"They gathered everybody. They were in every door. There was like 15 of them and they just started putting everybody in a corner and asking for their fingerprinting,"

Friday morning's incident drew attention from Jackson County Legislator Manny Abarca IV. KSHB 41 caught up with Abarca on Saturday at a local protest after he took his own family to the Liberty Restaurant.

"It seems there were several violations of the 4th Amendment that were predicated in that situation," Abarca said. "It was a raid. They showed up. They had no judicial warrant that they presented."

You got to be kidding. Trump wants to stop illegal immigration as opposed to encouraging and letting people across unvetted
Try to keep up.

You don't think any of them were American citizens, you don't think any of them are green card holding immigrants. They went in looking for a child sex offender. Do you think they should know what he looks like or if he was there? Or should they just shake down everyone in a restaurant.

"Papers please!"

Trying to clean the mess up probably won't be perfect.
