There for the tanking: Embrace the White Sox' pursuit of being the worst team in MLB history

I was sitting there watching them in person yesterday and tv doesn't really do this team justice. Flexen was throwing softer than any pitcher that's been in Baltimore this year. Benintendi hit a popup and I watched him slowly trot down to first and make a turn back towards the dugout before the ball was even caught and never broke stride with his jog - just one easy jog from home back to the dugout. Lopez, Amaya, and Vargas were standing in the infield waiting to warmup and Sheets just didn't come out until the catcher made his throw to second - so no warmup for the infield.
It's gotta be hard to go out there when they're this bad, but the effort is still terrible.

This won't be a quick fix.

100% this. Saw them play the Twins shortly after the ASB. I've never seen an mlb player give no shits like Benintendi that day

I couldn’t tell exactly what happened besides him getting TKO’d, but that collision probably makes a top 5 list of worst white sox plays in the last week

Not sure if it's still the case, but earlier this week I saw it mentioned that the AL White Sox had less wins this season against AL teams than do the NL Cubbies. I think it was 26 wins for the Cubs, 24 for the ChiSox

The Sox are like 1-29 at home since July 10th, I saw that lone win in person with double digit runs against the Yankees. What an honor

Sox beat the angels 8-4 to secure their 36th win of season and first 3 game winning streak since June.
Sox have to go 7-4 to avoid worst record post 1900.

It getting real now, boys...
Let's go Sox!!!

So hot right now.

I still find it weird that a team that was in the playoffs just a few years ago, and has multiple players left from that team has fallen so far without trying to tank.

Sox sweep! Sox sweep!
Dominant Sox roll past Angels 7-0!

Can they match this feat vs red-hot tigers in detroit and avoid being all-time losers?

Go go white Sox!!

It's not 'all-time', it's since 1900...

I realize that...so why is anyone even mentioning the 120 loss marker? It's meaningless as it cannot match the ineptitude of some 1890s team.

Complete non-story
The 120 loss mark is the only way they can have fun with the story.
