This is a defining moment in US history. Time to declare sides- America or Russia

Trump screwed the pooch today. Obama should have done more and this occurred on his watch and with the security community that most on here are lauding. The painful part is that without the DNC screwing Bernie, Trump doesn't win the election. They wanted HRC and got the 'Trumpanzees'

Why does what the moron said today mean we need to choose Russia or the US? I'll choose the US till the day I die no matter what any politician says. Now you could make the argument of choosing trump or America but even that is pretty dumb.
I'll add this... more than a few on here have been critical of us intelligence on more topics than I can count. Wmds, 9-11, torture, domestic spying, foreign govt and election manipulation and meddling etc... but of course on this topic all the usual doubters fall right in line.
For the record I believe Russia meddled and deserves to be called out and punished for it. But I also don't believe it impacted the election.

Obviously you don’t know about McConnell’s role in this.

I really don't like the idea of the media and left trying to declare war on Russia, but we might have to.

Seriously?

Trump threw our intelligence community under the bus. He literally said that because Putin was strong in his denial that he believes him over our intelligence. Can you imagine Reagan saying something like that? Trump is a coward. Even Fox News and many republicans are admitting he got owned on that stage.

Either Trump is a bumbling fool (very likely) who made a huge foreign blunder or Putin really does own him (I still don't think this is the case but... )

Phuck, man even Ari Flescher can see it ....

So do you agree with Trump throwing our intel community under the bus today? Most republicans even agree it was a disaster.

Well, that would mean that you trust the intel community to tell the truth. Right now, most Americans dont. So you see, there is a real catch 22 going on right now. We may never know the entire scope of everything around the 2016 election.

If Trump feels he can't trust the intel community, then he needs to fire people and hire people he trusts. He told us he only hires the best!

Don't discredit our intel community in front of one of our biggest adversaries. That's just stupid on so many levels. Odd how he trust Putin so much. Russia first for this President!

Sure, so believe a murderous tyrant over your own intelligence agency. You’re still trying to rationalize treason. Good luck with that.

Didn't Obama blame the U.S. for the Muslim hate for us? I do believe he bowed to a foreign king, also. If I recall, the left was ok with that.

And no, I am not a Trump fan. I didn't vote for him. Just pointing out these things go both ways.

There is so much hate in this country we may never get a great president again, because whoever gets elected will automatically be hated and vilified by the opposite party. This is also why the major problems never really get resolved. Each party draws a line in the sand. Everyone takes a "side". There is no compromise anymore.

Republicans have lost their way. Democrats are whiny, vindictive, sore losers.

And the American people are the ones who suffer.

I believe he referred to US 'policies' as being an element in the animosity.

Just like the "Russian policies" now are creating this animosity.
Just like the "Russian policy" in the 1960s, of putting missiles in Cuba generated animosity.

I cannot recall any quotes from JFK "apologizing" to the Russians, or "asking them if they have any missiles there", then asserting his own intel guys were wrong and siding with Russian claims that "those aren't OUR missiles".

But, DO POST A LINK, if ya got one....

He's a moron no doubt. If he doubts the intelligence that's one thing, but to say it in the setting he did is another. So now what? Are we impeaching him for this?

What exactly happened on Obama’s watch in terms of security?

I read #4 as you would blow Putin also...just like your pathetic Trump.
Aw - resort to pathetic childlike retorts. Figures.

Terrible mistake by Trump. Not sure what he was thinking saying what he said - then again, he was damned either way. Should have been said in the 1-1 meeting, not in the public setting.

Why was he "damned either way"? Is that because he's actually guilty of collusion/conspiracy?

How convenient for you.

Why would anyone care about calling out Russian meddling or trying to stop it if you thought it had no effect?

'Member.....the US intel agencies CANNOT act on Russian cyberwarfare UNTIL POTUS informs them this is a matter of national security.

As of today, they are STILL waiting for that designation, and in the meantime, Russia continues to attack us.

Why does what the moron said today mean we need to choose Russia or the US?

Narrator: "Because those are the two options. It's like 'Heads or Tails', so you cannot call 'Banana'. However, I would actually LOVE to see this happen during a SuperBowl coin toss, just to see what would actually happen...."

No. No it shouldn't have been said one on one. He should have said he backs US intelligence, and that there will be consequences for cyber attacking the US.

So you are basically saying Obama sided with Muslims. I assume you were outraged at this?

Again...I am not implying any support for Trump whatsoever....but this is just another example of how bad both sides are.

Bc they shouldn't be getting involved in our elections regardless of how rudimentary the attempts might be. Zero tolerance is a good policy with things like this.

You mean the same Intel agencies that don't trust you or me as they spy on everyone, Angela Merkel included. The same agencies that flip the bird to Congress and refuse to release all JFK assassination docs 55 years later. The same who, pre-Iraq War said, make the "facts" fit the goals. Our institutions are becoming more like the East German's and the Soviets.

What's your opinion when we meddled in the affairs of 81 governments? Then, when we don't need them anymore, or our guy doesn't get elected, we kill them?
