This is how you vote in a caucus?

More likely they'd make you go to the courthouse, they would cancel the current one issued, and re-issue you one at the courthouse.
Nope

They will mail out a new one, and the previous envelope is now "invalid"

You cannot mail your ballot in, in any "regular" envelope - it HAS TO BE in the bar-coded envelope assigned to you as a voter. Each voter gets a uniquely bar-coded envelope.

Send in a postcard you find sitting in the street or on the floor at an apartment building and you're in like flint.

Some have reported 50 or 60 mail in ballots going to one address.

It's rife with fraud and that's why the libs on this board spaz out when you talk of ending it.

I enjoyed last night and am glad I volunteered. Neighbors were talking to neighbors about what mattered to them and the guy in the shanty had every much a vote as the guy who owns the west end of Dallas county. Conversations like "Haley is in china's pocket" and " I voted Trump, but Trump can't carry the middle we need someone who can win for us" on and on were happening all over. It was actual good discussion, frankly it was what this place could and should be with representatives from all sides if we didn't have the same handful of pisspants spamming nonsense they found on Twitter, a site they supposedly hate. (While almost never actually posting any thoughts of their own)
It's nice when every vote counts no matter if you're the shanty guy or the rich guy. A great reason why the general election should be by popular vote rather than the electoral college.

This is just more complete bullshit

Fraudulent registrations are quite easy to pick out, and also very easy to prosecute.

When I needed a new one in OR they made me come to the courthouse to cancel and re-issue

How dumb are you?

Anyone can put your name on the envelope and mail it back.

They hand out mail-in voter requests like candy or those postcards that get put in magazines.
Showing your complete lack of knowledge of the process isn't helping your case here, genius.

Ballot requests should be handed out like candy as it encourages voter participation, this cycle it will be useful to crowd out the dumb phucks supporting our incompetent, criminal ex-president.

They'll just mail me another one.
They tell me to throw the other envelope away if I have it.

If I try to send in both, they'll find I voted twice and I'll end up charged with voter fraud.

Mine was issued but never arrived. I called and said I never got it. They made me come down to the courthouse to prove I was who I said I was. So, different conditions I suppose.

Why not just show up at the polls on election day and vote,... simple, easy, clean.

I just email them, responding to the email they sent me notifying the ballot was on the way in the mail.
They will "nullify" the original envelope stamp, and send me a new one. Old envelope will not be accepted, no matter who tries to send it in.

And I can get either text or email notifications for:

  • When my ballot is mailed to me
  • When they receive my ballot in the signed, uniquely identified envelope
  • When they review my signature and my ballot is accepted (counted)

If they have a problem with my signature verification (or anything), I need to show up in person to address that issue.

Because I can drop off my ballot at a nearby ballot drop-off box, any time that's convenient for me.

Along with reviewing every item on my ballot (online) to decide whether I want to vote in favor of it, or not. Fill the thing out issue-for-issue and for any local elections at my leisure.

No lines.

Iowans voting, writing their candidate’s name on a piece of paper, throwing it into the paper bag to be tallied

In fairness they were all Dominion paper bags...

No; they cannot.

The county checks the signature on the bar-coded envelope against the one I put on file.
If they don't match, I get notified to correct it.

Also:
  • The county notifies me when they send my uniquely bar-coded ballot out
  • The county notifies me when they receive my signed ballot
  • The county notifies me when my ballot is accepted as valid (signature matches)
The county WILL NOT send me more than one ballot. If I get notified they sent it to me, and I do not find it, because a MAGA stole it and attempted to commit voter fraud, I contact the county, and they flag that original bar-coded envelope as "not valid" and they send me a NEW uniquely barcoded ballot/envelope.

If I get notification that my ballot was receive, and I have not sent it in yet, I contact the county and tell them.

In fact, this is precisely how the former RNC chairman in Colorado was identified in committing voter fraud with his ex-wife's mail-in ballot. Signature did not match, and they traced the forgery back to him.

Instead of being put in prison for 10 years (he was white), he just got probation, because a judge "bought" his bullshit that it was a "diabetic episode". Dude should have been fined the max, and taken off voter rolls for a decade or more.

You have to remember these people believe this stuff on faith. This is not affected by objective truth. Their faith is unshakable.

Our next President nailed it last night when he said zero mail-in balloting.

Zero.

Oh by the way round em up and deport is coming to a neighborhood near you in 2025.

I love the mail ins are full of fraud crowd. Absentee votes were literally the Republican playbook in Florida for decades. They were very successful at winning elections via absentee.
That’s also the time period when Dems thought elections were rigged in favor of Republicans. O how times have changed.

Then once the illegals are registered they ask for mail-in ballots
And yet, despite this tired old claim, no one has proven any "illegals" have ever voted in any elections.

Which, with all the alleged "fraudulent registrations" would be terribly easy to prove in court. Out of 80+ court cases Rudy and the Krakens brought, NONE showed any evidence of any of this. They were tossed out of court for lack of actual evidence.

Why is New York handing out voter registration cards like candy to illegals?

Funny you say this. A Republican Senator is proposing reigning in mail in voting. The presiding officers said, yeah no, we will keep what we have.

Reality is certainly alive in the Democratic party

Voter registrations are public record.
Voting, per each election, is also public record.

Despite ALL of these public records, the Heritage Foundations attempts to "unveil" thousands of fraudulent Democratic votes over the past 2+ decades has yielded literally a couple thousand instances - the large majority of them being local - not federal - election races. The numbers of actual fraud they have found - off ALL of these publicly available records, for federal elections is in the dozens. A few dozen, over the course of 5-6 elections.

For the record, I prefer voting in person, but I also have mostly lucked out by living within 5 min of my polling location so it’s very convenient for me; not the case for everyone.

If mail/absentee ballots were as rife with fraud as republicans claim, you’d think it’d be easy to find document cases and people prosecuted by the busload.

My understanding is the dems do it differently and actually go to corners of the rooms and then try to convince people to move. I'd like to see that style one time. Anyone can attend as a visitor and every campaign had people their watching the process.
I went to the Dem caucus before Obama's first term, just to see what it was about. You sat in a chair in a group for your preferred candidate. If your candidate group didn't have enough people in it (like at least 10%), then that candidate was eliminated and you would move to another group.

NOT ONE PERSON tried to convince others to move to another group. So, we sat there listening to the moderator read telegrams from the candidates or other "prominent Iowa Democrats" (i.e. people you've never heard of)

After a while, the moderator would count the number of people in each group and we went home.

I thought it was dumb. Haven't been back.
