This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Now, the numbers for 100k indicate:

390/day for 12/22 report (posting 12/23 morning)
342/day for 12/23
304/day for 12/24 (posting on Christmas morning)
273/day for Christmas Day totals (posting announced 12/26)

Let's hope that Twitter can hang on for another week and Kyiv Independent doesn't get banned for anything...

I'll repeat what I've said many times, even if the actual numbers are half of what the Ukrainians are sayin'g it's unbelievable the losses the Russians have racked up.
And, keep in mind, the medical care is garbage for the Russians. There is no way that disorganized bunch of looters is providing good medical care. How many casualties are dying behind the lines, or at home in Russia after being evacuated?

I would think given the available medical care, winter conditions, and brutality of officers and Wagner just putting wounded down rather than getting them care would drive huge numbers of unreported deaths. If they are at basically 100K KIA in the field, I bet there is another 300K wounded, of which half will die. So probably a quarter of a million deaths.

Yep. Lot's of chatter the troops are suffering massive respiratory illness right now. A whole bunch of troops are going to be, and have already been, dying from untreated pneumonia and straight up freezing to death. I keep saying it, and I hope it eventually manifests, but I feel this ends with mass surrenders and desertion during the winter for all areas but Crimea. I think it is one of the reasons you continue to see them pound officer barracks and continue to kill the upper command structure. At some point it is going to implode.

I think they just keep on keeping on with their tactics until Russia proves it can stop them. HIMARS ammo/supply depots and command posts of an area from outside of the range of Russian artillery until the tooth is rotten, then extract the tooth. I'd like for Ukraine just to be able to punch Russian and face and knock their teeth out all at once, but this is how it will need to be and hopefully Russians get tired of having their teeth extracted one by one, and they just desert/leave.

why not? I would love to see US flags on gear we've donated and they are putting to use. Good marketing.
The latter is a banned hate symbol in Germany.
ADL has a page for it.
They adopted the former in the middle of WW1 and used it to the end of WW2. Not exactly looked back upon as their proudest moments.

If you want the Germans to send you tanks, good idea to quit painting them with Nazi symbols.

I was not aware of the second symbol. The first symbol though is Germany's current symbol it uses on tanks though, isn't it?

Maybe they are just doing it to piss off the Russians.

Any of you know how I can directly help one Ukrainian family? I don't trust charities so if you know a reliable way, I'd like to get them a christmas dinner and toys for the kids. Thanks!

I’ll take payment on the form of Rivals Trophy Points and donate in your name.

I believe the modern Iron Cross used looks more like this:

I don't think they use the squared off version much anymore, although I might be misremembering that.

Regardless, there's a ton of weird nazi symbology used on both sides on this one.

Valknut and SS Totenkopf symbol on Pro Russian DPR

I've seen the same Totenkopf patch shown in a picture worn by a soldier protecting Zelensky, no idea on it's authenticity so I'll pass on posting it.

Just a bunch of weird shit in that part of the world.

I’ve seen Germans comment online that political leadership doesn’t want to see any wrecked German tanks paraded in Red Square, that’s why they’re quicker to provide AD and artillery.
The prospect of seeing NATO member Germany’s tanks paraded in Red Square with Nazi symbology would be doubleplusungood.

Awesome historical photo.

I think that's only true because we've allowed it to be true. If this were the US fighting this war our air superiority would have this war over quickly (Aside of course for the nuclear weapon threat). But we've only supplied Ukraine with artillery so that's all they have to work with, and it's apparently all Russia has to work with.

Precisely. It might take a lot of shells from artillery to destroy a specific target, which would be a one-shot kill for a munition launched from the air.
