This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Agreed we are most hated rivals, but everyone knows if we capture Putin alive everyone knows he's being sent to Ottumwa, a fate worse than death.

I'd rather be chained naked to a wall and waterboarded for a week than spend a weekend in Ottumwa.

Is anyone else concerned for Poland? I wonder if Pooty will decide to attack them as punishment for the enormous amount of help they’ve given thus far.
Poles are NATO - they hate the Russkies - and they have a very capable military.
What we have to be concerned about is the Pole's going rogue and finding an excuse to GO AFTER the Russians. If the Russian's would dare attack the Poles, that really is the end, I'm pretty sure the Polish Army all by itself would destroy the Russians, but with the backing of NATO it would be over quickly.

Again, the issue is making sure the Poles don't go after Belarus or the Russians here, I'm not worried at all about their ability to defend themselves.

Putin has nukes and I think he would use them.
I don't know that Putin can just go launch nukes all on his own. His oligarchs love their life and even the military who loves Mother Russia have to know it kills everybody if they go that route. I have faith in their own self preservation that Putin dies before that order gets carried out.

This is what we've been waiting on. Considering he's been allowed to publicly say this, dissension might be further along and more widespread than this even indicates.

So far, there's been no sign of Putin's command cracking.

I've always thought it would have to start with the men on the ground refusing to fight. The actual generals basically have guns to their kids' heads and won't defy until the end of Russia is so imminent that they choose country over family.

The boys on the ground? They've got little to lose when they're being sent into the meat grinder. If this starts, it could be a wave...it will only work if it spreads too far and wide for superiors to "discipline" them. What, is somebody going to execute their whole company?

I read a post earlier that said Putin was the only person in Russian government who knows how things works due to his ego and paranoia. If that’s the case, why doesn’t some nation just drone his ass? Would his military leaders be allowed or even know how to launch nukes?

I don't think you have to worry. If there's anything the Polish are known for, it's being smart.

(just a joke...)

Poland's armed forces are being modernized but are not large by most standards.

Per Wiki-
The Polish Armed Forces consist of 114,050 active duty personnel.[1] In 2020, troop strength in the five different branches was as follows:

See where Ukraine armed forces size are second only to Russia in Europe. They are said to have 900,000 reserves! If anywhere near that number can get involved in the near future Russia has to be screwed right?
