We have not even given $50B worth of military equipment, but for the sake of ease, let us call it $50B. WDT is saying it will cost several trillion to backfill it. $50B is 2% of $3T. Cite for replacement cost increasing 50 fold in ten years? It’s not complicated but I think WDT is saying people agree - as long as we’re all aware of and believe in the fact that freedom is not free.
If the materials sent were made ten years ago the replacement cost for that material has not remained stable...it’s gone up significantly. And public companies account for that in their cost of doing business. I think we know government isn’t set up that way but it remains as a real cost.
I don’t have numbers, WDT doesn’t have numbers, and you’re creating them “for the sake of ease”, so the question cannot be answered with accuracy or real time costs. We have not even given $50B worth of military equipment, but for the sake of ease, let us call it $50B. But comparing the cost increases of everything from bullets to butter we can agree that the replacement costs will be greater than the initial costs. That’s got to be obvious.
Has Cruz voted against Ukraine aid?I just don't understand. Someone has to explain why elected representatives of a country that prides itself on being a leader in democracy and liberty would support Russia? Ukraine is literally fighting for their sovereignty. Russia lied that it wouldn't invade. Lied about the reasons they did invade. Blame everyone for supporting Ukraine like they are the victim.
I sincerely hope beyond all hope one of two things happen. A- the Republicans realize how much bad this is actually doing for nation. They kick out the crazies and get back to fundamentals of what the party was supposed to be. Even if you disagree with the party you could at least respect the people who were elected. B- disband or have a new party come and wipe it out. If Britian could do it in the early 1900s, I think we can too. We have had the same two parties for far too long.
Sorry for the political nature of the post. It goes against the rules set early on.
Has Cruz voted against Ukraine aid?
You are smart enough to understand the negative impact of continually undermining and challenging support for Ukraine in the media. It matters and it is unhelpful.Has Cruz voted against Ukraine aid?
Just watch. New shit cost exponentially more than old shit.18.3 +23.5 = 41.8. I was "rounding" up to 50 which actually worked in your and WDT's favor. Only an idiot would say there hasn't been inflation. But, on the other hand, only an idiot would claim replacement cost has increased 50 fold in 10 years.
How Much U.S. Aid Is Going to Ukraine?
Nine charts illustrate the extraordinary level of support the United States has provided Ukraine in its war against Russian invaders.www.cfr.org
I agree with you but would like to hear what he said after the clip cut. Don’t trust Filipkowski’s Twitter cuts…You are smart enough to understand the negative impact of continually undermining and challenging support for Ukraine in the media. It matters and it is unhelpful.
So Cruz is a two-faced piece of crap politician. What else is new.I agree with you but would like to hear what he said after the clip cut. Don’t trust Filipkowski’s Twitter cuts…
Cuz Cruz has also voted for aid every time and said this…
(Caution: Biden bashing…Ukraine comments at the bottom 😄)
He gave several key reasons why a vote for Ukrainian aid is in America’s best interests:
Senator Cruz said:
- The bill includes almost $9 billion to replenish U.S. stockpiles, which have become dangerously depleted, directly endangering the national security of the United States and our allies.
- Putin is trying to seize control of energy. If he’s successful, it will be felt by Americans filling up their cars with gas or trying to heat their homes in the winter.
- If Putin wins in Ukraine, it will confirm for Xi that he can confidently invade Taiwan, seizing control of the global supply of semiconductors. The results would be catastrophic for U.S. supply chains and the price of each and every product Americans purchase.
- If China were to conquer Taiwan, it would give the Chinese Communist Party a stranglehold on the global supply of semiconductors
- It is simply impossible to overstate the utter catastrophe that would impose on Americans. Overnight, it would be impossible to acquire or repair everything we rely on in modern life.
At the same time we need to secure our border and address the domestic crises, we also need to confront the very real threat posed by Russia and by China. We can’t let the fact that Biden and the Democrats have created massive domestic and economic failures cause us to ignore threats to U.S. national security posed directly by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
…
The reason we should support our Ukrainian allies is because it protects American national security, it keeps America safer, and it prevents our enemies from getting stronger, from threatening the safety and security of Americans, and from driving up the cost, the economic damage, to Americans.

I’d say they want to see if their s*** works in combat, they want to stir the pot, and they have Russia over a barrel and are extracting a high price for everything they hand I’ve. I wonder how the Russian leadership will view being dependent on Chinese charity? Another loss of face for Putin.Countries do stupid things.
They might reason and sanctions the “west” would place on them might hurt the west as much as it hurts them.
Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that
Here is some free advice. Don’t stand in front of Cruz and a politically expedient, profitable position change. He will run over the top of you.Has Cruz voted against Ukraine aid?
