This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

You could, but this is definitely a situation where big data and processing power would provide an enormous advantage.

The closest thing I can think of for that many images is film restoration software that can use AI to chew through twelve thousand 4k frames in just a few hours looking for anomalies. I’m sure we have a military equivalent.
Thanks Torbee and mnole03-my thoughts went to the scenes in WW2 movies where (often) women are looking through an eyepiece trying to pick out important info:) Fascinating what (I call computers) can do to make them look like dinosaurs.

Politically untenable to starve out the occupiers IMHO.
Yeah, actually Ukraine shutting off the water is not much better than Putin shutting off the electricity.

But at the same time, Ukraine puts it's army at risk by attacking a still supplied occupying force.

I think the right answer is to lay siege until the Ukrainians believe they are softened up enough to just overrun them.

I don’t want to be overly optimistic, but if the counteroffensive is successful by Ukraine, this thing could really start unraveling for Russia, which begs the question, then what? Russia is losing this war, no doubt. If they are forced out of occupied areas and pushed back into Russia, that means they have lost. How can Putin, or anyone in the military save face? Interesting times……

I watched it too. It seemed to emphasize the necessity for Ukraine to conduct a full frontal assault once they gain control of the Russian land bridge to Crimea. They did discuss isolation/siege, but only as a secondary or tertiary option.

I'm thinking Ukraine take away the land bridge, take out the kerch bridge, shut off the water and see what happens. I think it's their first option.
Yep Shut down their resources. Shut down the Waterway. Come forward with Uncle HIMAARS and blast their depots, along with cutting the Kerch bridge again.
Blast the ports that resupply the Black Sea Fleet. Give those vessels no resupply, then send them down to meet the moskva.

Just needed to post this for some reason.
