I am disappointed in the lack of protests and revolt and Russia. I figured this would be the quickest way and most likely way the Russians would stop the War and Ukraine would win. The other hope in that lack of resources will doom the Russians chances, however that is predicated on Russian not sending in a second wave, and honestly I think Putin is digging in his heels.
They are and face great risks in doing so. Thousands are arrested and will have no rights once detained.
It’s hard to have protests when mass gatherings aren’t allowed.
Channeling my innermost OiT: what if Ukraine and Russia are playing the world and Ukraine is simply amassing all of these weapons and funds from the rest of the world in a double cross move to take over the world with Russia?

I believe you are referring to Ukraine’s application being accepted to join the EU? If so, the process takes years. It will have no impact right away.

Hopefully the world has the stomach to intervene to stop more war crimes. Blowing up and killing civilians with no military value is murder. Ukraine is a shining example of what we hope democracies will be in terms of fighting for their existence, and I hope we do not let Putin snuff out its candle.

Agree. At this point, the EU and NATO need to rise up and give Russia a 48 (?) hour notice to vacate the Ukraine or face the same destruction that Saddam's forces faced exiting Kuwait. Sanctions are going to take too long and in the meantime innocent people are dying. Don't follow them back into Russia or Belarus for fear of escalation but get them the hell out of Ukraine.
Time to put the hammer down.
Once they get arrested for protesting the government twice, they are blacklisted and cannot get a job anywhere in the country.
It's amazingly similar to what a majority in one US political party would like to do as well.

Could part of the problem be Ukraine simply doesn't have the pilots and support crew capable of making the MIGs of any use. Poland may not be keen on just essentially throwing planes away.

So we are back to wimping out again.

We need to stand up to him even if that risks nuclear war. I don't want to to nuked, no one does, but at what point do we say enough is enough?
We talk about this weakening Putin but that may only be for so long. He takes Ukraine and it's resources and eventually we get bored, let him have it and start trading with him again because we can't abide by high gas prices.
Then he goes for Finland and we play this whole game over again. And he wants for us to get a president that loves him like Trump or DeSantis so he can go after NATO while we flake out.
