They are looking for any and every excuse to escalate this.

We were in no position to go to war in 1939. We did not have the trained units or equipment ready to go at that time.

Some great comments on Lib TV by Katty Kay and Julia Ioffe this morning this morning. London is awash in dirty Russian money, but the rub is leaders are afraid that if they go after the Russian money, then the Arabs, Chinese, Central/South American money will be pulled out. That was from Kay.
Ioffe is a solid writer on Russia, and she spoke about the oligarchs, and how they have spent decades pillaging Russia, and an equal amount of time spreading the money around via real estate purchases, shell companies, and family. The real solution is to have every transaction list the end benefactor. Cut through all the shell company BS.
It will take time, but they both said the world needs to go after the oligarchs, their spouses, their mistresses, their kids...

My wife is half Ukrainian. Her grandmother was taken by the Germans and she ended up working in the home of a wealthy German family. This was a vast improvement on her prior condition because she was starving due to Stalin's agricultural policies. Basically burning their fields.
