Crimea used to seem like a "redline" for Russia, but since Putin annexed 4 more Ukrainian regions, that argument has gone out the window. Why would Crimea be worth destroying yourself to Russia, but Luhansk or Kherson would not? They're both Russian provinces afterall, at least in Putin's eyes only.
