AP story about the training of Ukrainian units ahead of the offensive. The story tracks a unit doing a march through a heavily forested area using an old timey compass, instead of a GPS unit, and coordinating an artillery attack on some Russians. A wide range of men up to age 51, the equipment isn't all top of the line, there is a little grumbling, but the difference is clear. These guys understand why they are fighting.

I think it is most likely “he believes his own Russian propaganda”. Much like the Nazis, and sadly much like about a 1/3 of Americans right now, if you only get one source of information, and it is all disinformation, lies, and propaganda, it turns you into basically a cult member. And cult members are capable of doing anything. Killing others or even themselves. And right now, there are about 100 million cult members in Russia. Hopefully if we can chop the head off, we can begin unwinding the growing of similar minded and acting cultists in Western Europe and the US which come from the same stream.

Not that I disagree that we should have given them ATACMS a long time ago, but if Ukraine had them, Russia wouldn't be having a parade in Rostov-on-don. It would be deeper in Russia.
Exactly. Keep pushing their ability to marshal forces farther and farther back. Force them to disperse their forces. Hit more bridges and fuel/weapons depots to make reinforcement harder.
Prigozhin better have a lot of guys around him at all times making sure he doesn't accidentally fall out of a window.
