This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Hoping this important enough for the world to tell Russia to shove it, and to allow safe passage with protection from Russia. Yes, I am a dreamer.

Protection of legitimate commerce was the role of Merchant Marines in WW2. I could see protection extended to grain or other transport today. Those mucking up safe transport are pirates and therefore targets.
It would not take too many interdictions of interdictions to get the point across.

Seems like it's time, then to "un-Russian-control" those waters.

Sink anything that threatens a Ukrainian cargo ship
Shoot down anything that threatens a Ukranian cargo ship
Drop Daisycutters at any location that launches anything against a Ukrainian cargo ship

Putin will "get the memo"
Turkey is the hold up. They are allowing the Russians to choke off exports by slowing the pace of inspections. If Turkey wanted to they could use their navy, and that of Romania and Bulgaria to control the pace and guarantee safe passage without allowing more military ships to transit the Bosporus Straight.
Also, Turkey is in a price crisis related to food. They should act in their self interest and tell Russia they are acting.

Russia is only evacuating wounded officers for medical treatment. The grunts stay in Ukraine and the occupied areas no matter how severe the injuries.

Turks should be held to the standards of international trade. Let the foodstuffs move unabated. Or, stuff the Turk international and regional trade.

Erdogan was just re-elected, but things are tense there. Riots over food costs aren’t in his interest, and riots in Egypt aren’t in anyone’s interest in the region.
