This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

I can't believe he hasn't accidentally fallen out of a window or down a flight of stairs yet.

More about Progozhin’s comments that are outside the official narrative, and some commentary as to why he and others are getting leeway, for now

Are the Ukrainians using that white cross for friend or foe identification? Seems like a cross would be a bad choice as it could be confused with medical units. Not that the Russians don’t knowingly shoot at them too.
Interesting -" For Ukrainians, the use of an equilateral cross is a tribute to Cossack traditions. This sign was used by Cossacks in their heraldry and flags. The white cross was one of the elements of the coat of arms of Dmytro Vyshnevetsky, the founder of Zaporozhian Sich — the cradle of Ukrainian Cossacks."

Let's go for a Civil War!

"The chief of Russian mercenary group Wagner on Friday accused Moscow's military leadership of ordering strikes on their camps and killing a "huge" number of forces.
"We were ready to make concessions to the Defense Ministry, surrender our weapons," Yevgeny Prigozhin said in a furious audio message released by his spokespeople.
"Today, seeing that we have not been broken, they conducted missile strikes at our rear camps."
He vowed to "stop" Moscow's top military leadership and called on Russians not to resist his forces.
"The council of commanders of PMC Wagner has made a decision — the evil that the military leadership of the country brings must be stopped," Prigozhin said in the audio message, urging Russians to remain calm.
This story is being updated."

Sounds like rebellion to me.

It really is happening. Wagner vs Russia

Our assault brigades see everything, systematic strikes are now being carried out on the positions of the Russians. You would hear the radio broadcast of these *** now. The impression is that part of the Russian regular troops are killing their own, and it seems that part of the military is supporting Prigozhin. While it is not clear what is finally happening, it is a bloodbath"

It is a slow implosion of leadership. There has to be a lot of internal taking of sides going on in Russian military. How does Putin not deal with Wagner insurrection? It’s good for Ukraine that Russia is so inept. Hopefully the implosion picks up pace and Putin has to withdraw his Army from Ukraine to protect himself in Russia.

What are the likely outcomes of this? Wagner defends itself and causes uprising in Russia, Russia destroys Wagner kills most of its troops also some of their own. The entire army begins to fold . . . We possibly see a steady decline in effectiveness, or the Russians actually begin to become slightly more cohesive. Personally I think it’s a jolt and a continued steady retreat. You will also lose one of your best offensive platoons. This may be a big turning point though.

Yep. It is the big question. From what I am reading on Twitter peeps I follow (and seem not beholden to too crazy of stuff) rumor is that some of the military is falling in line with Wagner as have the rebels invading Russia in Belgorod. Question will be have Wagner and Russian Military groups been coordinating and planning. It could spell a big reversal on North front and major threat to Moscow if so. Heck, the rocket attack on them may have been faked.

His statement about how war started in 2014 and Ukraine only targeted military targets 2014-2020 to me is interesting. I personally think an intentional and maybe required statement that lends credibility to the even wilder thoughts Ukraine and Wagner are now coordinating and aligned. Sort of “if we are going to trust you, you must publicly come clean on how things really started”
