This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

If there’s one thing almost every American has instilled into their blood by birth, it is the love of an underdog fighting for their freedom from a tyrannical leader.
A plucky group of underdogs kicking the ass of a foreign tyrant is as American as apple pie and …ummm…Mel Gibson?

We like winners, too. Ukraine looks like they are winning. It’s hard for losers like MTG and Gaetz to go out and promote Russian talking points right now.

I think the continual Russian atrocities & war crimes are a reinforcing mechanism for support.

Any moral person knows a bully neighbor lobbing missiles into residential areas, hospitals, shopping malls, etc is wrong. That’s not war, there’s no military objective or benefit. It is simply senseless mass murder.

Watching from afar you know this criminal evil party will not cease their tyranny until they are met by equal and overwhelming force.

The moral question of who to support is simple. Even a child knows this answer.
Probably helps that Tucker Carlson isn't on the air every night, feeding Russian propaganda into old people's heads....

How is it that we've been hearing about fighting/advances in Bakhmut for months and it's still totally controlled by Russia in this map?

I love seeing all the positive Ukraine news, but these maps sure aren't changing much.

I would posit that Ukraine is routinely exchanging territory for inflicting losses on the attackers. UKR are suffering heavy losses too. RU military has more bodies that they are constantly counter attacking any gains Ukraine makes. Putin and the RU military have made a point to capture Bakhmut as a symbolic / pyrrhic victory for home consumption.

The post I shared didnt say Ukr was advancing in the contrary it stated yet another RU offensive.

This war is sometimes difficult to get a handle on in many regards.

Lots of propaganda floating around....
