This was a very, very curious statement. China can play the long game, and sometimes they are amazingly transactional. They seem tired of Putin inflicting pain on their economy, and endangering their food supply. Yes, they are getting cheap oil right now, but overall the war has been a drain on their economy, which continues to struggle post Covid.

Not finding it again, but I saw a semi credible article yesterday saying that there are Ukrainians pilots in the Netherlands right now preparing to train on F-16s. Good. The sooner the better, and keep working on getting more aircraft in the pipeline. We need to get off the pot on this issue, too. It isn't enough to allow the transfers, we need to provide our own. All in depth articles I've seen show that Ukraine has been promised somewhere around 48 or so F-16s, and they probably need 100 to have a credible force.
They could do some damage with 48…but the more the better. I think they’d be much better in the SEAD mission almost instantly….the Russians are really in trouble.
The Ukrainians are using AGM-88’s with their MIG-29’s but the F-16 is a much, much better platform for that.
Honestly I’m surprised by this. Thought support would gradually erode over time…glad I was wrong.
If there’s one thing almost every American has instilled into their blood by birth, it is the love of an underdog fighting for their freedom from a tyrannical leader.
I think the continual Russian atrocities & war crimes are a reinforcing mechanism for support.
Any moral person knows a bully neighbor lobbing missiles into residential areas, hospitals, shopping malls, etc is wrong. That’s not war, there’s no military objective or benefit. It is simply senseless mass murder.
Watching from afar you know this criminal evil party will not cease their tyranny until they are met by equal and overwhelming force.
The moral question of who to support is simple. Even a child knows this answer.
