Maybe a combination of Ukraine front line air defense getting better and Russia getting more desperate and risking more aircraft?
Wonder how long it took those two lead vehicles to realize they were all alone.
I've noticed this uptick. My guess is the Russians finally got serious / desperate, and forced their pilots to go in close to the lines. The Su25 is their ground attack workhorse.
