The inability of the US/NATO to ramp up 155 MM production sufficiently is one of the more perplexing issues of this war....
Hopefully we get the production lines going and we never face this situation again. It is crazy we can't produce and give enough shells to Ukraine for a war involving only the eastern flank of one country.

Think this is more sarcastic than it needs to be-bet Ukraine will find a way to use this stuff even if it is old.

"Sofia will supply the Kiev entity with obsolete surface-to-air systems and munitions Non-operational S-300PMU1s Obsolete Osa-AKM, Kub and S-200 Given the shortage of ground-air systems, Kiev therefore accepts even obsolete equipment..."

Update: Russia fires cruise missiles at Kyiv for first time in nearly three months
I had read a few weeks ago it had been two months since they had air launched a cruise missile. Expectation was they were stockpiling production again to try and launch an attack on energy infrastructure when winter arrives.

The missile barrage comes just two days after Senate Republicans voted to block a $110.5 billion emergency spending bill for Ukraine and Israel. Putin allies celebrated America’s right-wing party for what they interpreted as the first step in the total withdrawal of U.S. support from Ukraine.

“Well done, Republicans! They’re standing firm! That’s good for us,” said propagandist Olga Skabeeva on Russian state TV, grinning.

Maybe you should get over there and fight? They need you. Let's do this

Good on Republicans for blocking an obvious US proxy war that does nothing but enrich US defense contractors and the many US politicians that hold stock in defense industries like, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Boeing.

Sure, you compromise in legislation on how to adjust retirement plan rules, or infrastructure. These things aren't really related, and, you don't see anyone saying lets hold aid to Israel hostage over border security. The border security that R's have had a decade to compromise over. Putting a gun to the head of a nation fighting for their existence isn't compromise.
You guys had the WH, the House, and the Senate in 2017 and 2018 and refused to enhance border security. And, for all the scrabbling around about Biden's profligate spending, nobody is explaining how they are paying for all these extra border guards that can't be hired even under good circumstances, much less today's economy. Or, to finish the vanity wall instead of using enhanced technology to secure the border.
Dude, we generally pass like one bill a year that includes everything. Relatedness is a concept for bygone years. You want the money, you give on stuff. We actually need more of this sort of thing not less.

Until 3 months down the road when the GQP pulls out their pistol, sticks it to Ukraine's head, and again screams about the need for a compromise.

Really disappointed. I would love that money to head to Ukraine. I want to know exactly where it all goes but I want to know that it goes to them.

Ukraine needs to fight everyone to death before the end of the year. Russia doesn't have the willing manpower or ability to counterattack in the snow
They’re more than willing to empty out their prisons in order to do so. The longer this goes on, the more I worry about an experienced cadre of Russian officers arising from this conflict. The Ukrainians are currently having to fight thru the most fortified defense zone in the world. What they lack in tactics/leadership, they make up for in mines, trenches and firepower. Lots of it too.

That being said, this war would be over next week if the USAF/RAF became involved tomorrow.
