This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Totally wrong.

People argue that it ended the war faster (very likely) and even that it ended the war with fewer casualties (probably not but maybe), BUT everybody knows WWII was nearly over when the nukes were used.

Their use was not necessary.

Not to mention that the obvious difference between then and now is that we had the only nukes back then.
Disagree, Japan had thousands of kamikaze aircraft and boats that would have inflicted serious damage to any invasion force. The populace was given spears to help out! And something that some do not consider is that civilians were starving so that their military could eat. Who knows how many civilians would have died if the Allies would have prolonged the invasion attempt.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday reacted to reports that revived questions about who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines in 2022, saying the initiators of the gas pipeline project should “apologize and keep quiet." That comment came after one of his deputies denied a claim that Warsaw was partly responsible for its damage.

Germany was a partner with Russia in the pipeline project. Poland has long said its own security interests have been harmed by Nord Stream.

“To all the initiators and patrons of Nord Stream 1 and 2. The only thing you should do today about it is apologise and keep quiet,” Tusk wrote on the social media portal X Saturday.

Tusk appeared to be reacting specifically to a claim by a former head of Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, BND, August Hanning, who told the German daily Die Welt that the attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines must have had Poland’s support. Hanning said Germany should consider seeking compensation from Poland and Ukraine.

It is pretty telling that the Mi-24 is able to operate safely. Orc AA and aircraft seem to be absent. Attrition? Electronic jamming?
When I saw this I thought they were using the copter over Ukraine to knock down drones. But another response casts doubt on that.

We have 10,000 of these with about half being the older model.

That facility is neat to Google Earth lurk at. I don't know about heavy tanks, those seem to be more difficult to integrate, but we should be shipping over every single M-113, Bradley and Stryker we can.
Also, I was lurking over Davis-Monthan and it's sad to see F-16s being wrapped in plastic for storage when we could just ship them over to Romania and Poland for spare parts if nothing else.

I sincerely doubt that helicopter was firing air to ground unguided rockets toward the ground but at an aerial target.
The second part of the clip was flares being launched.
Everything about that clip says close air support.
Likely the bird wasn’t “working” drones as you say, but my post is more generally speaking about the opportunity for the Ukes to operate aircraft in the Kursk foray. And, possibly more telling is the lack of orc aircraft or AA involvement.
