Better than targeting children cancer hospitals and crowded grocery stores. It also seems fair given Ukraine doing much of the same targeting of Russia’s refineries. Not counting of course the whole Russia starting things part.

The cause of the crash was not a direct result of an enemy strike, Ukraine said, and Lt Gen Oleshchuk sparred with some politicians over who was to blame for the loss."

That might be the most oblique way to say it was blamed on friendly fire.
Solid AP write up about the Russian response to the incursion into the Kursk region. Short version, they can't do much about it, and can only downplay the events while continuing to press their offensive in the Donbas region. A massive call up of reservists would be required, and that would undoubtedly cause social unrest.
