I'm beginning to wonder what happens when Ukraine and every non authoritarian government in Europe declines Trump's shitty plan? Does he threaten tariffs against every NATO/EU nation? Does he threaten to pull out of NATO?

Article 6 of the NATO treaty makes clear that Article 5 applies to the attacks on the territory of the members in NA and Europe. So if the French are on an adventure in Ivory Coast, or Kherson, an attack on them isn't an attack on NATO.
