He was the supreme commander for allied forces in Europe at one time, and the commander of Southern Command, so he knows how to look at a situation. I don't know what intelligence he still may have access to, or if he's just looking at videos like we are, but he mentioned how pathetically outfitted these Russian conscripts are. He specifically said he hadn't seen a single pair of night vision goggles on a Russian soldier.
