I think the "make possible" in #12 should be in bold letters. It is no guarantee especially with the divided, unprincipled and lazy western democracies. Most of them would F up a one horse race.

Armored Cav is a great read. Keep in mind, also, the Abrams has been upgraded substantially since the M1A1s of Desert Storm. The frontal armor on the SEPs and C model M1s of today is substantially tougher than the armored citadel of an Iowa Class battleship. The side turret armor approaches that level.
I hear you. Trust in the sanctions. They are crippling Russia. Putin didn't think they would be as severe as they are, which have backed Putin into a corner. That is also what I'm most fearful of because there aren't a lot of options for Putin at this point.

Interesting interview with an advisor to Ukraine president about the negotiations. Sounds like they don't have a very high opinion of NATO and may be looking to start an alliance with countries that are willing to actually stand up to Russia. Quote from the interview

That is a smart move.
Yes it is a good move. But it ignores the point of NATO that has been repeated on here a multitude of times. NATO doesn't exist to fight Russia. It exists to defend the member countries. Ukraine isn't a member country so this isn't a fight for NATO.
If Ukraine wins this war and gets their land back, I could see NATO extending a membership offer to them. But while Ukraine is currently at war, and previously occupied in part by Russia, NATO can't/couldn't offer membership because that would immediately invoke an Article 5 response. Basically, Ukraine has to win this and then we can talk.
Having said that, he can bitch all he wants but at the end of the day many countries from NATO are doing a lot for him and his country. $800MM in new weapons plus all of the other millions of dollars of weapons already given to Ukraine, that I'm guessing the US will never get paid for. Weapons gifted from other NATO countries that will likely never be paid for. Sanctions against Russia that are hurting the economies of every NATO country. NATO countries are pitching in significantly, right up to but not across the line of fighting the war themselves. If he keeps badmouthing NATO he runs the risk of losing the sympathy of the people of those countries and losing access to everything that they have given.

Those people don't give a crap about NATO except in the abstract. Zelensky understands the reality he's facing but he also understands he needs to keep the weapons pipeline flowing and he can keep pressure on NATO countries that will engender support from member country populations...THAT'S the point. He's playing his hand masterfully and as a proxy for the west against Putin, Ukriane shouldn't be expected to pay for the weapons it uses to smash him.
Modi is a Gujurati. They include Patels (see for example local Patels in the IC area). They are merchants. They will sell their mother for a rupee. This is no surprise. True? BTW, There’s a nickname used for older motels bought and reopened after minimal renovations- Patel Palaces.
