He is probably trying to create some good will to divert attention from Hungary's problems with the EU.
Nah, Putin just said yesterday that he has no problem with Ukraine joining the EU. Orban's still just following his master's lead.
Putin wants to keep Donetsk, Luhansk, the land corridor to Crimea forever (pretty much what Russia currently occupies), and keep what's left of Ukraine out of Nato. In return, he will give the rest of Ukraine permission to join the EU.
Keeping Ukraine out of Nato is key to enabling Russia to continue to be able to re-invade Ukraine in the future until it is all part of Russia.

Maybe it is the camouflage pattern the Germans use but I've always found their armor beautiful.Are the Germans off the shit list yet?
I suspect the Russians will find it something very different.
One thing I read is that we forgot that they have metric wrenches which did not work so well with our equipment
Probably a real headache for Ukrainian maintenance troops to maintain all the different types of equipment from different manufacturers ect...
I'd say it's easier to train them to use the stuff and much more difficult to train them to maintain it properly....add to that lack of parts and you have a problem...
There's just no easy replacement for "experienced" maintainers.
Might have to get those evil "contractors" in there somehow to provide some expertise.
If they can't keep their equipment to a high "mission capable rate" that's a serious problem moving forward...
