This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

You're really stretching things to claim Ukraine has a "blank check" on their own sovereignty.

(They most certainly DO)
Not claiming that. We're talking US/NATO support. If they support going back to the pre-2014 border say so.

I have no idea because they haven't made that clear.

I'm seriously at the place where we need to find away to anonymously slip Ukraine a half dozen nukes and delivery systems.

The Russian people finding out that Moscow is in range of being glassed would be enough to end all this nuclear posturing nonsense from Putin, if not the war itself.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that NATO/US have covertly already positioned certain weapons available on very short notice.

US intelligence is second to none.

What do you mean by ‘certain weapons’?
Are will still talking nukes?

Of the three nuclear powers in NATO (France, the United Kingdom and the United States), only the United States is known to have provided weapons for nuclear sharing. As of November 2009, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey are hosting U.S. nuclear weapons as part of NATO's nuclear sharing policy.

They HAVE stated this; based upon supporting UKRAINE'S position, EITHER WAY.

Why is this so difficult for you to understand here?
Link to the US or NATO stating they support Ukraine regaining the pre 2014 border?

I haven't seen such a statement.

Who is denying that point?

The question was "What does Ukraine view as victory?"
Which appears to be evicting Russia, completely.

And right now, most of Europe and NATO agree: letting Russia maintain a foothold just kicks the can down the road. They are on the cusp of eliminating the problem, so help them finish it.

Russia will never rebuild a military presence w/o access to Western technology, and it seems that bus has left the station already.
Why is that the question? I don't care what Ukraine wants. The US should be making decisions based on US interests, not Ukraine's. This has become entirely politically driven.. Maybe we should let Twitter decide.

Because you are incapable of recognizing that whether Ukraine pushes for that, or cedes Crimea back to Russia, NATO has signaled support for them.

Ukraine will be the winner in the war, and the winners get to dictate the terms of the peace agreements.

So nothing...that's what I thought.

What you quoted is the stuff that has been public info.

You really think the US releases all the defense weapons locations?

That's what I meant by "covert".

I have a feeling everyday Mericans would be shocked if they knew what CIA, DOD, and other entities have done over the decades. And that might just be the biggest deterrent for Putin going radical.

I didn’t want to misunderstand you.

You think we secretly house nukes in other countries?

I disagree. There are local political reasons we don’t host nukes in nations beyond those, and as a practical matter we don’t need to at all.

The Ohio class we mentioned recently that was in the Arabian Sea alone would ruin Russia.

It's IN US interests to have Russia neutralized as a threat to Europe and the rest of the world.

Period.

Why is this so challenging for you guys to understand here?
That's another myth. They won't be neutralized at least not for long. Most of Asia is now trending together with Russia. If you haven't noticed China offered increased support to Russia just yesterday. On the other hand, Crimea will be destroyed and there will be huge costs to the rest of Ukraine. There will be resistance. I find it unlikely the average citizen wants this on either side. Certainly not Crimea. Any win would be temporary. The only long term win would be an agreement that favors the US, other parties involved.. maybe throw in nuclear reduction. That should have been obvious from the beginning.

North Korea is the only Asian country that voted to support Russia’s annexations in Ukraine.
Syria, Nicaragua and Belarus were the only other countries in the world that voted with Russia on the measure in the UN.

What is China’s increased support?

Many Asian countries abstained correct? It's basically a vote whether to be sanctioned or not. I see they are meeting practically every month. The last big ones were in Kazakstan more recently and before that Uzbekistan with India China Russia Turkey and many other Asian countries. The message is clear they want to move away from the unipolar order. China didn't disclose what support I believe. I noticed it was in combination with Putin saying he would not use nukes. There is a lot going on behind the scenes of course.
