Today on twitter.

First off that’s such a great tweet. It’s amazing how Michigan still hasn’t won their division and made an appearance in the title game yet. Lastly maybe I’m wrong but I’m not sure that South Africa would be that appealing to a lot 18-22 year old college kids especially the football team.
ON the contrary Parts of South Africa much more appealing as vacation spots. The country is beautiful and historic as well. Widely know as an incredibly georgeous country. Cape Town?

I know plenty of African American men who have gone to Africa - and they consider it a life-altering event in their lives. Going to a place like South Africa could definitely carry some recruiting sway with some players.

It’s the most amazing place I’ve ever set foot. Also, I think that 18 yr olds are much more global and willing to jetset than those in the past. Probably do to travel shows, instagram travel FOMO, reduced airline prices, and a lack of priority on “getting a good job and settling down”.

I’ve been to Rome (Michigan’s last camp location) as well, and South Africa is 10x more appealing.

Interesting. Any insights to why?

Not sure. Been trying to figure it out. Was interesting because when he tweeted it, all 5 of the Purdue coaches who were recruiting him liked his tweet. Wouldn’t make sense for them to like it if they were blindsided by the decision in my opinion. Sounds like something happened that made Purdue step away.

You guys just got a verbal on 5-22. Are you planning on 2?

Yep at least 2. Don’t think this was about liking another prospect more than Brock. Think it wasn’t anything football related.

Probably said something about the water being better in Ames than it was in West Lafayette and it rubbed somebody the wrong way. You know how those engineering schools can be.
