top college football logos

Anything strictly with a letter(s) is laughable and shouldn't be on any list.

Kansas State and Iowa are both top notch.
I’d agree about the letter(s). I’d also add a paw print on there as well.

Personally I like the old herky hawk logo more than the logo that’s used today. I’d still put the current logo before most of these logos though.

Letters aren’t logos (exception for Miami) and if it takes more than 2 minutes to draw or is a face then it’s a picture and not a logo. Paw prints are not original either.

Washington State is also a great example of combining letters into a logo.

I generally like the pictures far more for logos, but there is risk in those. Look at Kansas. A decent enough logo but when you have a lot of small details in them they can be difficult to see from a distance. That's why I think logos like the Tigerhawk work so well. They are easily identifiable from a distance and they provide a distinction that can only mean one thing. But it does explain why schools like Michigan are so protective of their "Block M". You'd think Wisconsin would be too but the number of high schools running around with the Wisconsin W on their helmets is huge.

Our arena football team logo was lame:

But our CBA logo before that asshat Isiah Thomas killed the league absolutely kicked ass:

Thunder is definitely the better logo, however, I know a couple of people who do specialty products and they would much prefer to be tasked with reproducing the Steamwheelers logo, and tgat May have been a consideration. Generally, they prefer no more than three colors, and straight lines or geometric patterns.

Ease of embroidering was one of the reasons LSU adopted the “Toonces” logo in the early 2000s, which looks a lot more like a horny tomcat than a fighting bengal.

at least 3 of those logos 90% of cfb fans won’t recognize and it should actually be 4 (tulane escaped by printing their name on the logo)
trolling for clicks must be the objective in publishing that list
