Trump about to gut the VA Healthcare system

Next time I'm here there will be awful people on the wall.

So back to the topic.

1- Hiring freezes occur in many businesses when a new CEO comes on board so as to give them a chance to define the company direction and take a look at the processes.

2- It is long ago time to end telework. Period. All federal employees have been told that they need to report for in person work hereafter.

3- getting people to quit is not the real goal. getting people not getting any actual work done to quit might be.

This is all the normal 'hair on fire' liberal claptrap. It is designed 100% to foment fear and anxiety in anyone and everyone so as to try to generate an almost astroturfing type of opposition generation based on a very liberal negative interpretation of events.
Teleworking should be something permanent in healthcare. You do realize most towns and cities do no have adequate care. Especially VA care. Having the ability to see a doctor via telehealth can save lots of money and time for veterans AND the system as a whole.

I work in both urban and rural healthcare. I am more aware than you have any idea of the access problems that exist. I do not see anywhere in this thread an implication that tele-visits with healthcare providers is part of that.

It is the patient that is remote not the employee. The employee can work from the designated hospital work site and the patient can remain remote.

If you have more detail regarding these sorts of visits and what the trump administration intends to do, I am happy to listen and review it.

Your mere statement does not convince me of your knowledge, your experience or persuade me that these visits are curtailed.

This.

At the end of the day, EVERYTHING he does is a grift.

He has zero interest in governing or improving America - those are just things he pretends to garner support so he can line his pockets.

The fact most people can't see this stupefies me.
Same model used for school vouchers. Under fund the current system, claim it’s broken and replace it with a private system that costs taxpayers more but gives kickbacks and or jobs to those who helped them get richer.

Yes all being directed by the Billionaire Oligarchs. This stuff is sent to state level GOP reps to pass such and such legislation. They are just doing their bidding at this point. There's no functioning democracy legislative wise in red super majority states like Iowa and now the Federal government it appears.

I mean, think how many were willing to go to prison for him on J6.

This phenomenon is beyond a natural explanation. I don’t know how millions of people can be this far removed from reality regardless of how much exposure they’ve had to Trump media. These people are so enamored with Trump it’s like he is some type of modern-day messiah.

It’s crazy and it’s absurd. And it’s infected millions.
Perhaps the phenomenon is supernatural at its core?

Antichrist Signpost #2. I'm going to have to start compiling a list.

The one and only reason half the people on here tolerate him is he is a leftist. Period. That same dude, that is a conservative, would have been shamed off a long time ago by the incessant leftist bullying that goes on here.
Chis is not a "leftist", he's obviously a liberal. Wouldn't hurt for you to do a little reading to learn the difference.

That wasnt my point and you should know that, with a complete reading of my OP. My issue is with @Chishawk1425 not the persecution of cons. I only addressed those posters given the follow up to my OP.

Scruddy only posts 11 times a day on average.

WASHINGTON — Following successful implementation of President Trump’s federal hiring freeze, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced several exemptions to the policy.

These exemptions clarify the department’s ability to continue filling essential positions that provide health care and other vital services to Veterans and VA beneficiaries.

I don't need to do any reading on that topic. I know what the two are and use the terms separately, advisedly.

A liberal is someone with whom I have philosophical disagreements regarding policy yet understands we are all Americans and love this country equally. We both want the best for Americans and could have an interesting debate over beers at the local pub. I have lots of IRL liberal friends.

A leftist is someone that puts left leaning thought and philosophy above all else including community and country, involves calling people divisive names, requires one to be a general impolite a-hole and in turn creates an individual lacking in character or any hint of redeeming humility.

I think I got this. Thanks.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is exempting more than 300,000 health care positions from a governmentwide hiring freeze.

VA doctors, nurses, pharmacists and medical officers are among the dozens of occupations excluded from the hiring freeze.

Because of the push back. **** this pitiful administration

I'm overdue for a physical and med check. I'm calling tomorrow to schedule an apt. I will report back what I hear when I have the apt. I often prod them if they are getting the support they need.

As I have said before, I have had better care at the VA than any private med. Perhaps I'm lucky.
I've had good care in Des Moines as well. You going to the clinic by the SouthSide old mall area? I was just at VA Services on main campus Wednesday to get a new photo ID Pic taken.

Better hope schedulers weren't one of the cut positions.

Yeah, Have to head all the way down there now. Nice facility. I'm hoping that Story County gets a clinic in the next 5 years as they were talking about.

I forgot to add. The folks at the main campus / Hospital are just awesome. They look at their jobs like a mission. I was scared to go there at first, but they made me feel so welcome. They are saints.

Yep I've had great experiences at the VA starting in 2004. Helped me get my VA disability rating had no idea about any of it.

You were more proactive than me..... I didn't allow myself to get in their care until 2014. 10 years after overseas work. Stubborn idiot, I was.
Yeah we got attacked so much and purple heart issued overseas on sight by Battalion Commander first thing I did when I got back was getting enrolled and reviewed.
