Democrats are only happy when our economy uses other countries resources. The USA is a resource rich nation. Our regulations and laws to protect these resources only shift their acquisition to other countries. News flash we still use lumbar in the US at record levels. Renewable and sustainable technologies are far more advanced in the US to use these same resources while having less impact on the world.

New York State used to have a thriving timber industry. New York State used to have a thriving steel industry. New York state used to have a thriving manufacturing industry. New York State is unsustainabley in debt, losing population New York State is top 3 in tax burden on its residents. New York State sits on an enormous supply of natural gas that is off limits. New York imports its natural gas, New York imports timber and paper products. Crucible Steel is the last remaining steel manufacturer and is a shell of itself with less then 200 employees and in bankruptcy. Remington, Syracuse China, Carrier, New Venture Gear, Bristol Meyers Squib, Dunlap tires and the list goes on and on are all closed and now outsourced to other countries. The same can be said for the whole of our country. Ironically Lockheed with Schumer's help has remained viable. However you all like to virtue signal that since its not acquired in our back yard its somehow better then aquiring /manufacturing in the US.

It doesn't take long to find all the facts you need to verify this. Democrats its time to offer a source and solution for the US to benefit and not at the expense of our economy and another countries detriment. Trees grow, our country has trees, our country has the people, our country has the energy. Our country has enormous resources. But here we are celebrating laws that make these resources off limits and demonizing the use of these resources.

increase targets on federal lands and increase production, but do so in line with regulations that protect vital habitats that don't just automatically return when you plant a field of seedlings to replace all the 50+ year old trees you just cut down
