Pretty sure we've been logging national forests for at least the past 5 years. As long as they do it smart, take down old dying growth, replace it with new growth it's prob not that big of a problem.

If we do it away from any sort of park entrances/trails/visitor centers, and focus on small swaths at a time which allows trees to re-grow, it is probably actually healthy for the forest and no one will really notice.
