Eagerly awaiting the spin.
The article is spin.
It's not counting the actual debt accrued.
It's inventing numbers for assumed tax collection, and calling them additions to the debt.

From the 'analysis':

  • Debt held by the public rose by $7.2 trillion during President Trump’s term including $5.9 trillion in the first three years and five months. Debt held by the public has grown by $6.0 trillion during President Biden’s term so far.
  • President Trump’s executive actions added less than $20 billion to ten-year debt on net. President Biden’s executive actions have added $1.2 trillion to ten-year debt so far.

By the numbers: Trump added $8.4 trillion in borrowing over a ten-year window, CRFB finds in a report out this morning.

  • Biden's figure clocks in at $4.3 trillion with seven months remaining in his term.
  • If you exclude COVID relief spending from the tally, the numbers are $4.8 trillion for Trump and $2.2 trillion for Biden.

Trump has been gone for 4 years. This has been jo's baby for 4 years and basically the 8 years before Trump, yet, TDS dictates that in 2024, a runaway national debt is the fault of someone who currently has ZERO power to do anything about it, and the one who does, has done NOTHING to turn a single ticker here > https://www.usdebtclock.org/ Play your games, retard..........

Biden has overseen an increase in debt held by the public of over $3.7 trillion since just October 1, 2022.

Just 3/4 of the way through FY23-24 and we have $1.5 trillion more in publicly held debt.

The fantasy calculations about taxes not collected (a year after record income tax collections!) are what they're trying to call 'spending'.
