Trump has had a few questionable moments. Sometimes it's hard to tell with him because he's never been very articulate when he strays from his key adjectives or phrases.

If we go strictly by speaking ability, which is only one sign, then Harris has full blown dementia. We know that's not true.

One thing we can tell by speaking, is if someone constantly speaks of past events, but those events are distorted or made up. In a few forms of dementia, short term memory is more affected than long term memory, and people start living more in the past. It's not necessarily constant, and can come and go. Cognitive ability is about understanding. Cognitive decline is manifested in speech.

Trump speaks at a very simple level. His speaking mannerisms are legendary. Everyone knows it, and everyone is saying it. He's horrible, really really horrible, at speaking to audiences at a higher level. Coherent? Most of the time. Articulate? Not really.
