Trumpy rescinds fed aid freeze

Stand at the back of the tailgate. Was that supposed to be an insult?

BTW when you are tailgating you are usually behind the tailgate. That's why it's called tailgating.

Stop posting things that are easily verified as false and you won't get called out by others.
Wait a sec…you just confirmed my suspicions.

Tom, I honestly think you are a dimwit but let’s be nice on a Wednesday.
And I am smarter than you but truth be told even the bots on here are smarter than you,
Don’t you have to grab your whistle and your clipboard and go supervise some jumping jacks?
You totally misspelled, "I was wrong. Sorry for posting bullshit without looking it up first." Multiple people just proved you to be wrong, again, and instead you double down on being the smart one. You're just a lost old lady.

He’s not my orange god.
I can tell you are exhausted and at your wits end as it pertains to your family situation. Your fear comes through very clearly but your emotional state is not helping you at the moment.
You're the gift that keeps giving, Goldy. You're like this iconic character. Same vapid intelligence. But instead sweet and lovable. You're racist af.

Golden Girls Lol GIF

EO is still in effect. Quit listening to your political overlord msm clergy. Or stay ignorant partisan losers, your choice. Nice to have choice again btw.
TBC, the spending freeze was not an executive order. It was an OMB memo, in further implementation of related EOs. So yes, the EOs are in effect. The spending freeze directive from OMB is not.

I’m quoting what the WH Press Secretary stated yesterday at her briefing.
Surprise, she lied.

A comprehensive report issued in September by the US Agency for International Development (USAid) was reviewed by The Times. Some $60.8 million in funding was allocated by USAid for condoms and female contraceptives in 2023, but not a cent of that seems to have gone to Gaza.

In fact, no condoms were sent to any part of the Middle East and just one small shipment — $45,680 in oral and injectable contraceptives — was sent to the region, all of it distributed to the government of Jordan.

The most common form of contraceptive paid for with USAid money was contraceptive implants for women ($23 million), followed by injectable ones ($17 million). Only about $7 million was allocated for “male condoms”.

Dan Evon, of the non-profit News Literacy Project, said: “It’s also worth noting that this is not a Biden programme. Trump, too, spent funds on sending contraceptives around the globe. In 2019, about $40 million was spent on contraceptives by the Trump administration.”

They don’t care
i was talking to a work colleague this morning, and he commented on how the scope of things is so sweeping and fast paced, that it's hard to know where to start in terms of prioritizing things for client advice and the like. this one's probably a pretty good illustration of why it's not a bad idea to keep a cool head in times like these.

Like OMB keeping a cool head and not issuing directives with little forethought? Who could have imagined such an order would lead to such chaos.

Steven Miller, the clown behind a lot of this stuff, doesn't really appear to be overly qualified to be the major influencer here.

Knowing what is constitutionally legal and related doesn't seem like his strong point.

The obvious mistake here seems like they're just trying to change too much too quickly.

I really wish they would, at least, research stuff before making it public policy.

Really looks like a bunch of college kids smoking dope and coming up with all these ideas.

speaking of jordan, usaid is apparently trying to shoehorn some gender stuff into this exception...

I think you are undervaluing the ideas college kids sitting around smoking dope can come up with.

Are you sure you want to die on this hill?
I don’t plan to die on any hill.
I watched the press conference yesterday and now after researching it further - along with clarifying statements issued today - it’s become clear that the aid for condoms (and contraception in general) was in fact part of a larger aid package that totals $50 million.

I am glad this was clarified but I STILL wonder why we are providing any aid of that sort? Am I the only person who thinks these people are capable of managing their own contraception choices?
Are there more urgent items needed?

I’m not sure she deliberately “lied” but that was a big old rookie mistake.

We should hire a group of people that are responsible for funding. They can even vote on it.

Did you not watch Kaleigh McEnany? The first thing she did was lie about not lying to the press. This isn't a rookie mistake. She is told what to say by a guy who lied over 30,000 times the last time. He lied 30ish times during the debate where everybody hated on Biden but gave Don a pass. If it comes from that young lady, from that pulpit, speaking for Donald Trump, it is most assuredly a lie.

She, behind a cross necklace, will lie to us every single time she is up there.

Jesus, you're sinking down to putting lied in quotation marks.

She lied! Just say it! It's OK, she's not the first press secretary to do it. The gymnastics you do in order to excuse every thing this administration does is just mind bottling
Leavitt won't last a year.

But Fox Network will have a spot for her when the time comes.
