Update: Noah Shannon CLEARED TO PRACTICE. 26 UI student-athletes investigated for online gambling, incl in FB, Men’s BB, Baseball, T&F & Wrestling

It's not rocket science, fellas. When you accept a scholarship to play college athletics there are conditions that come with it...including playing within the rules of the NCAA. You agree to those when you accept it.

Those same conditions apply to the non-scholarship athlete and they are made crystal clear to every player on the roster. You break those rules, you give up your status. You can argue the merit of the rules all day long...but they are the rules. Follow 'em or pay the price.

The rumor is that there are 5 Clown U football players who are in trouble; Dekkers has been rumored to be 1 of the 5.

Other than Arland Bruce, I have not seen any number (or names) when it comes to Iowa football.

I just hope they get this straightened out pretty sure rather than dragging it out over multiple years when their are players waiting to play or move on with their lives.

I think the players know if they did it or not. They know. We just don’t know 100%.

Very clear it is. Saw someone who was a trainer stating it was drilled to them also. They couldn’t wager.

Iowa baseball paid a huge price in the NCAA Tournament. They could have used their best hitter and another arm from the bull pen (Rick Heller had fewer pitching options to go to, which killed us in the late innings). Instead of winning @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset a National Championship, Iowa got sent home early.

there were 10 JR pitchers and 6 LHP with 2 SO RHP for a total of 18 total pitchers on the team after the 3 main starters he had 15 other pitchers to use.

UNI has Theo Day back at QB. There could be murder in Ames on Sept 2.

You’re always so quick to jump Heller’s ass on this but kiss Fran and Kirk’s ass up and down. Interesting.
Heller has the whole state of IA to recruit the top talent from
ISU no longer has a baseball team
UNI no longer has a baseball team
Drake no longer has a baseball team

the state of IA Produces some of the top pitchers in the country. I remember when Wallace was a ytop rated pitcher and Heller tried and failed in trying to turn him into a outfielder
what a waste of top talent. there was another Pitcher who pitched a couple inning's as a FR then got buried in the bull pen never to pitch again.
both of them were projected as high MLB draft picks coming out of HS and Heller ruined both of their potential MLB careers as pitchers.

we just saw Hojnar transfer out, a starter this year and a supposed starter in the 23-24 season. my question is why? also there is talk about both Brecht and Morris both looking to leave.

again the announcer kept talking about how deep IA's bench was with pitchers and yet we never got to see any of those pitchers, all summer long. Heller during the midweek games he changed pitchers after every inning never really letting to get into a rythem or warmed up. that is not the way to build your bench nor is good for finding out which pitchers can pitch for how many innings/pitches.

that is what killed in the regional. NOT USING PITCHERS that were on the bench/bullpen bench.

people say that Fran is getting to old to coach Kirk is getting to old to coach well Heller has been coaching for over 37 years at the D1 Level and has over a 1000 wins as a HC

he became a HC in 1987 maybe its time he starts thinking about retiring as he coaching for a very long time.

in his time as IA HC he has not won a BT regular championship but has one BTT Championship back in 2017

maybe its you that takes a look at these coaches. vs what you demand of them.

Stop the madness. You’re full of it. Trenton Wallace was drafted in the 11th round in 2021 after being named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year.

if not for Heller making him play left field he would have been drafted higher. quit making excuses for Heller when you calling for Fran and Kirk to be fired.

sorry can't cherry pick who you want fired.

Heller coached UNI from 1999-2009. also if you look that was about the same time that UNI shut their Baseball program down.
I know where Heller coached. I don’t need to look it up. Heller has by far the toughest job of the 3 coaches. 8-9 teams from the Big Ten make the tournament in basketball. Same amount make bowl games in football. 2-3 make the tournament in baseball. What Heller has accomplished at Iowa has been remarkable. Our baseball program before he got here was terrible. And terrible for a long time.

You are such a miserable piece of shit. These boards are so nice when your crippled ass is rolled away from the keyboard for the night.

So he used too many pitchers and didn’t use enough pitchers….got it

Without star ratings we can’t determine the true depth of those 18 pitchers.

10,000 seats isn’t enough with the support you provide.

how do you know there is not a younger and a far supertior coach out there that will take IA to the next level where they will actually win the BT Regular season championship that the posters bitch about Fran not doing an Kirk as they were shared.

that is no longer good enough, just like the BTT Championship means nothing. as long as Fran had not won it, it was a big deal,

what makes it interesting is the BTT Champion gets the AUTO bid to the NCAAT

Why does our baseball coach need to get younger but not our football and basketball coaches?

Intersting point. Might as well cast a wide net and look for younger, far superior coaches for other positions. Far superior could be as little as making it out of the bottom 2 for their respective responsibilities

A couple of things. Sam Honjar’s transfer portal entry as it is being posted about on here isn’t being represented correctly.

Jami Dekker’s search warrant filing has disappeared from publicly available court records.

Arland Bruce’s search warrant is still available (some of it) to the public.

As of Monday the DCI was still conducting interviews.

Some other stuff you can put together on your own based on some previous posts of mine and others.

Now you can go back to arguing about pitchers and religion.

how's it feel to get a taste of your own medicine?

don't like it do you. I suggest you STFU in the future. because I can be worse as this is childs play for me.
You can be much worse. You usually have several facts wrong, don’t stay on topic, get players names wrong, get belligerent when those things are pointed out…. So we finally agree, you can be and usually are worse…
