its thinking outside the boxYou'd have them play after the championship...yeah that's stupid.

By screwing illinois out of a game?its thinking outside the box
I wonder if Kevin Warren is on the hot seat at all based on his "leadership" through all of this. The conference screwed the pooch all along. They knew that many teams weren't going to get a full slate of games in when they started the season late. What they should have done all along is say that there won't be a championship game this year. We'll just play the games that we have and do the +1 at the end of the season with teams ranked based upon divisional winning percentage. But the game with the #1 ranked teams is not a conference championship game. It is just an extra regular season game.
Then you wouldn't have teams scrambling to find an opponent to get one more game in against a team that they aren't prepared for. If the Big Ten is about playing it safe with COVID for coaches and players, they shouldn't be considering this last minute scramble for games and instead should just play what was scheduled. It also would have avoided a need to change the rules on the fly during the middle of the season.
In my opinion, the rules were set before the games were played. And the rules were set in a manner that didn't favor any one school over another. If you don't like it, then tough. You're welcome to find another conference.
One less loss for Lovie!By screwing illinois out of a game?
It's just a dumb idea lol

0% chance the Big10 leaves OSU out of the title game.
Sorry boys - just too much money on the table........

What would be the basis? There would be an AD vote on the scenario. Are the rules in contract form? I'm no lawyer, but this sounds goofy. It will be interesting to see what Indiana does. According to the rules in place today, OSU is out and the Hoosiers are in the Title game. If they bend the rules for OSU, then will Indiana file a lawsuit against the Big 10
The ADs were left out of all the meetings. All 14 ADs, correct, wanted to move forward with the season? Why, the Presidents made the decisions. He was their Messenger.
I would imagine IU fans were initially excited when OSU/Michigan was canceled. It will be interesting to see what Indiana does. i would imagine the vote to be 11-3 (IU, Little Debbie, Michigan against changing the 6 game rule)What would be the basis? There would be an AD vote on the scenario. Are the rules in contract form? I'm no lawyer, but this sounds goofy.
He can't give them special privilege.
technically, the game should go on UNLESS Michigan hits the red/red positivity rateThis is Michigan doing Ohio St dirty. Lol. I think it’s hilarious!
imagine Ohio State was NEBRASKA
and Indiana was IOWA
and a 5-0 Scott Frost led Nebraska team was on the verge of winning the Big Ten Championship and going to the College Football Playoffs.
and a 6-1 Iowa team was on the verge of getting screwed out of the Big Ten Championship game.
and Barry Alvarez and Keven Warren want to change the rules so they can get the Blue Blood Nebraska Cornhuskers in the College Playoffs... because its gonna make them more money.
you'd be ok with that?
technically, the game should go on UNLESS Michigan hits the red/red positivity rate
this does add some juice to the rivalry moving forward, thats for sure
will say it again. If OSU is undefeated they are in. Not a chance they keep them out. What? To see multiple rematches when OSU who has the second best QB and arguably the most 1st rounders?’ Not a chance. They gonna put a 2 loss team in over OSU? Are you kidding. Or 4 1 loss teams that already played each other as Justin Fields watches? Not gonna happen.
A big reason this whole B1G season was started was because tOSU was a legitimate national title contender.I guarantee OSU is in the playoff outside of them losing before. Guaranteed. Do people think they will let teams like Cinncy or Coastal Carolina in over an undefeated OSU or a 2 loss Big 12? No way. Not a chance. OSU (without a loss) will be in. Make them play Bama. Otherwise the conference champs mean nothing. Rematches with Alabama-Florida and Clemson-ND. No way cause OSU is one game short are they out. Alvarez will not stand!

I hope you are right; I would like to see a B1G team in the CFP. I just hope they don't get knocked out because they only played 6 games
I smell a guy named Harbaugh trying to keep his job. If he loses to OSU in a big way, which is what would happen, he would be out as the Michigan coach. By cancelling this game he has a chance of staying on another year. No way he would survive a huge blowout to OSU.
I don't know who is on the CFP Committee; its all up to themnot gonna happen. So they play 1 more game favored by 30 than it’s a non event? It was an arb rule put in and every rule has been broken or amended. Do people think a 5-0 OSU is not in? Alvarez will break every computer in the room.

Nah, OSU vs Texas A&M.Doug is the Illini Rivals guy. He appears to be flexible in his thinking. Will the B1G be?
that would be sweetNah, OSU vs Texas A&M.
How many is many many? I stopped watching a news channel in Florida because of the weatherman kept saying ''for the next many many days'' and he sounded like a gay creep. Look If Michigan has 40 players on game day who don't test positive they should be playing the game. If not, I still believe that Harbaugh is hoping that the game is cancelled. This IS something he would do.They have many many confirmed covid cases.
percent chance of this happening? There’s a Twitter push for #4 OSU to play #5 Texas A&M this weekend as both are now open. Quasi-Quarterfinal matchup.
0%.percent chance of this happening?
Meaning they don’t want to risk a loss.
