Vegas

FWIW we booked travel tonight for the concert. My goodness travel is expensive. Flight out of CID for about 1200 total. Room at Linq for about 950 for three nights all in. Concert tickets were right at a grand. Might have been cheaper to wait but it might have been more expensive.

Did you check Allegiant and Southwest for flights? They don't show up on most travel site searches, you have to go directly to their websites. I bet Allegiant was half that much.

The days for allegiant would not work. We have to fly on Thursday and Sunday for work. Southwest out of Des Moines would have been an option but the last flight is too early. It would have saved about 150 total.

I’m so glad I bought mine the day they came out. Got by with $300/ticket total which is still way more than I’ve ever spent on a show.
Did you do the Citi presale? The cheapest I could have gotten two tickets for would have been 600 ish total. We did not do the cheapest seats.

I signed up for some kind of presale but can’t remember which. Were front row of the top deck so idk if that’s good or bad but it’s a smallish venue so should be decent I think.

Wife and I are going to Vegas in March to see Garth Brooks at Caesars. Is that the best place to stay in that area? I have almost no experience with Vegas as I’ve only been once and that was for a conference. Rooms at Caesars Palace are really pricey I assume because of the residency. I’d pay the 400 if that’s the only decent place to stay in that area. We will be in town for three nights.
Caesar’s pool is pretty amazing. Just not a lot of shade.

What's he post on social media?

I just looked up his Twitter and just saw tweets promoting his concerts.
There’s tons of youtube vids out there. Also, if you like Tom Segura, he and Garth have an ongoing feud and Tom is good at exposing his creepiness. I’m not saying Tom is a good guy or anything, but Garth is whacked imo.

I imagine that most people who reach that level gain a touch of narcissism. Sociopath? I’m going to need to see proof. Like serial killer sociopath? Come on
I’m just giving ya shit, but if you dig into it a little bit, the dude is a creep and at the very least, just plain weird.

I wouldn’t recommend the linq, harrahs, cromwell or flamingo. All are just very meh, Belaggio, Venetian, Paris, are close and good options.

^this. We stayed at the Flamingo many times in my 20’s when I was poor. Would not recommend to anyone over 30. That being said, their pool party’s back in the day were always an awesome time with tons of hotties.

I read an article at least 10 years ago about a gay male prostitute named "Red" that said he encountered Garth Brooks.

It was pretty gross.

CSB.

I don’t know, I not wild about Venetian or the Bellagio. I have more fun at the smaller casinos.
I have stayed at the Paris but have not had the best luck gambling there. But the restaurants are fabulous. I won a three day, two night night stay at the Paris in a NFL season long picking the winners contest put on by KFAN of Minneapolis. Flew my wife and I out there for free out of Minneapolis. I extended it another night. After I won it they stopped it. They didn’t like an Iowan winning it.

Probably not what you are looking for, but I like the Vdara Hotel & Spa. Went there the year it opened for a big work deal and have been back a couple times.

If you do Vegas right, OP, it won't matter what hotel you stay at as long as it's centrally located. We find the cheapest one in that area and never have any problems. Are they the nicest? No, but we spend maybe 45 min a day awake in the room and you can walk to any hotel casino you want to from there.

I've stayed at Caesers, Paris, Vdara, Aria and in August went to the Cosmopolitan. All of these were good other than Paris where our room smelled like an ash tray but we were there for a wedding and didn't choose it.

Cosmo was awesome. We had a suite that looked over the Bellagio Fountain, so we got to check that out every 30min. Our room was around $350 a night. Allegiant had great package deals at the time and was significantly less expensive then booking them separate.

The pool was awesome (wear mirror shades since you're with your wife) it was 112 the days we were there though.

We love the strip and all of the casino's and sportsbooks. We went to Fremont Street our last night. Wow that place was nasty, made me realize why everyone hates us.

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. Everything was very nice except for the weird elevator set-up. No casino and no smoking if that's your flex.

F’ing KFAN. 😜

I am flying out late Friday night. Staying at the Virgin Hotel, then have tix Saturday night for the Eagles at the Sphere. Supposed to be 100 degrees on Saturday! Got lunch reservations at Momofuku and expect to chill by the pool Saturday pm.

I couldn’t stand Garth after he came out of “retirement.” He’s been bizarre and cringy for years. Gross!

I was at his Peter Pan concert at Texas Stadium back in 94 I think it was.
He put on a great show back then. Obviously before things got weird.

Wow.
Hey all you folks who WERE going to see Garth…he may be booked at the Graybar Hotel by then…
Is there a special rate offered for three hots and a cot???
It's an interesting accusation. Apparently Garth sued her before her lawsuit for trying to extort him.
In her suit she claims that he (a mid 50s guy) lifted her up by her ankles and penetrated her.
Perhaps I missed he recent pictures where he looks like the Rock.
