If this holds out there are three warmer weather teams heading north, of course Tenn is not that much more south than OSU. But Arizona ST and Alabama heading above the Mason Dixon Line for the first times in a generation probably the weather could be a factor as well as playing on the road.

And why does Iowa St have to play at Ariz ST, is the Big 12 too poor to rent a neutral site?
  • No. 12 Arizona State at No. 5 Penn State
  • No. 9 Tennessee at No. 8 Ohio State
  • No. 11 Alabama at No. 6 Notre Dame
  • No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Georgia

Are you talking about the B12 championship game? It's at the Cowboys stadium.

OK. I saw it listed as ISU at Ariz St so I thought it was at Tempe, thanks
Easy mistake to make. It's just listed that way to indicate the "home" team. But any competent listing of these games also should note where the game will actually be played. In this case, the previous poster is correct. Iowa State will play ASU in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Ugh what a joke that Bama even is being talked about after loing to Oky and Vandy....such SEC bias BS

Kind of a pointless thread. These are all going to change after this weekend. Penn St will take a loss to Oregon and not be the 5 seed. ND will be the 5. Penn St will likely fall behind Ohio St since they lost h2h and likely the loser of UGA and Texas does as well.

No way in hell should 3-loss Alabama, a team that lost to Vanderbilt and that was recently destroyed by a mediocre Oklahoma team, be in the playoffs. NO WAY. If it said anything else on their jerseys, if it were a blind resume, they wouldn't make it. And if it said IOWA on the jerseys, the CFP and all the "experts" would be laughing at the suggestion a 3-loss Iowa team with that resume should make the playoffs. And you know it.

ESPN pulling strings.

I hope they don't let conference champ participants fall out of the top 12 if they are currently inside. It shouldn't be punishment for losing a game that other teams didn't even qualify for (barring getting absolutely pantsed in said game).

Iowa wouldn't have even made it with two losses. Take away the Iowa State and UCLA loss and we still aren't jumping anybody. We aren't going ahead of 1 loss Indiana. OSU would still be going since they throttled us. And Oregon and Penn State would still be playing in the championship game. They aren't putting five B1G teams in the playoff.

Bama doesn't deserve to be in, ND should be forced to join a conference at this point. I don't even care if it's the ACC.
Bama doesnt but they are 3-1 against ranked teams and Miami is 0-2 from what I heard

Don't worry, I think UNLV or Clemson win their game and thus Boise and/or SMU get in, thus knocking Bama out (hopefully!).

I hope that Alabama doesn't make the play-offs, but who would you put in to replace them?

Miami? The ACC officiating giftwrapping 2 games for the Hurricane would keep me from choosing.

On a side note, it was September, but Alabama played a game above the Mason-Dixon line. At least my geography shows Wisconsin above the line.

Don't fully agree. PSU loses by a point or two, no way do they drop them past a team that didn't play a game. They're supposed to lose this game to #1
