Funny story. There was one of those "will you marry me" things on the Jumbotron in Kinnick once years ago. I said, perhaps a little too loudly, "don't do it, it's a trap!" Some people around me chuckled and I figured it was just an advertisement.
Nope. Two rows ahead and four seats to my left, guy's on a knee with a ring. Whoooops.

Thanks chief, 255, Wendy, and all the others. Chief and Wwdm are my two homeboys on here, but I told M* that warner or berge can be my best man if it helps in recruiting. 
OSU two years ago got a verbal from the top recruit in the nation Chance Marsteller, all OSU fans went crazy in the streets. Then he showed up on campus and was getting beat by everybody in the room, found a lot of problems outside of wrestling and by the blessing of God left (booted off) the team. I hope that last part happens to you and your bride to be, that God blesses both of you throughout your journey as God has OSU!
Always remember this. When you come home some night and your wife is standing by the table with her hands on her hips and a glare on her face that could kill, LIE.
Just remember those 3 all important words and say them often, "you're right again" and you will be fine. You can occasionally substitute another 3 word phrase that promotes domestic harmony and that is "whatever you say". It is always nice to add a dear or honey to the end of those phrases, but as long as you get those 3 words in the conversation, you will be fine.
No reason you should be any happier then the rest of us.

CONGRATULATIONS! I have been with my woman for 7+ years. We both will be 32 in the spring. I suppose its about that time for me aswell.. It just seems scary!

Congratulations! May you continue to "pin" her at the current rate for the next 20 or 30 years. Just keep the lights off if she is wearing those ketchup and mustard outfits.

This has always been my response to sporting event proposals as well. I have never been that close to the participants though. I have had some older fans give me the stink eye for being so pessimistic. I also like to quote Monty Python killer rabbit scene, "Run away! Run away!"
