KF better hurry up and get the last 2 schollies committed/signed. The Preferred Walk On list is 16 now and getting close to our number of schollie players! Have we ever had this many Walk Ons in one class, and have we ever had 7 LBs walk on in one year?

Last year had its ups and downs. I deemed it a fairly successful year in my eyes compare to my pre-season expectations. But look at all these kids wanting to walk on at Iowa now that have scholarship offers at other schools. It must have been a pretty impressive year for many high schoolers.

Something to be said for having a really good kickoff unit with all these guys. Offense and defense.

It'll be interesting if someone can follow them all and see how many stick with the program for four or five years and make a contribution. And I love the idea of using these kids on the kickoff team. A&M used to do that--an all walkon kickoff team--and it was awesome.

IIRC, I think our PR and KR coverage units were pretty good last year, no?

I would love to see Jaden Snyder added to the walk-on list. He could be a D-1 punter imho.

One thing I notice about most of these walk ons is they are out for Track and Field and numbers pretty average just like Jewell and Bower. KF loves multi sport kids. Yes I know Jewell wasn't a walk on but he was an average T&F guy.
