Right, that's why the MAC is a Power 5 conference and doesn't have special rules to make the BCS/playoffs. Oh wait.....Lots of good teams in the MAC. To win 75% of your games in that league is pretty impressive in my opinion.

He lost 8 games in the MAC???! Ouch, he's worse than I thought. That would be like going 30-2 in the Big12. Less than impressive.
Probably 30-2. What's ISU's against the MAC?What's Kirk's record against the MAC?

14-4, give or take win based on what others said. What's Kirk's record against the MAC?
What's ISU's record against the MAC. Since 1999.
You know Ferentz's record but not your own team's? You are insanely obsessed with Iowa! I love it!No idea. Our current coach wins 75% of the time against the MAC I do know

CyCity will no doubt come back with a reply. But he can't argue against this in any way, shape, or form. With all due respect, why does it matter what Campbell's record was in the MAC? None of that will determine how well he does or doesn't do at Iowa State. Gene Chizik was 2-14 in the Big XII before he left for Auburn and won a national championship two years later.
We will see.History shows he will beat KF at least once but we'll see.
You mean Iowa plays more MAC teams than ISU?ISU is 10-4 vs the MAC since 1999.

When does somebody say that Cambell had better players there?
He did beat Iowa state when He was coaching at Toledo..When does somebody say that Cambell had better players there?
The Big Xii will be down this year. This might be his best year to do any damage. You have the Oklahoma schools which I think will finish 1-2 in the Big 12. Then you have TCU who will be tough, but w/out Boykin who knows. The guy was a playmaker. Outside of those 3 teams, I seriously think everyone else is pretty even. Texas who knows, Texas Tech is a toss up, Baylor is questionable, Iowa state, K-State and Kansas are all about level. WVU will be interesting, I don't know what they return.
I think Campbell will be a fine fit for ISU. I hope he can get them back to a bowl game and I think this first year is going to be the year. They have the WR's and QB to be competitive. Now their lines on both side of the ball need to improve. If they can just be competitive in the trenches they should be okay. Their RB will be a solid player and could do some damage. The whole thing is they can't lose to non-conf opponents. Got to win every game in the non-conf or at least go 2-1. Then they HAVE to beat Kansas (they can), K-State (they can), Texas Tech (50/50 game), and Baylor or WVU (these two are tough).
I bet they finish the year 5-7 or 4-8. Much better than in past years.
ISU is 10-4 vs the MAC since 1999.
I don't think the Big 12 will be down unless you mean they won't have as many top 10 teams but Baylor, TCU, and OSU will all be really good teams. I think K State and Texas will be improved and the rest of the teams will be about the same. Still think it will be very difficult for ISU to win more than 2 games in the Big 12.
I think Okie st and OU will be top 10 teams and in the thick of the race for the NC. I'd give ISU about a 5% chance of beating either of those two teams.
TCU will be talented, but they lost a STUD QB. sometimes its hard to adjust for a new QB. I think ISU has about a 15% chance of beating these guys.
Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, K-State, WVU will all be about even. Will they be superior teams, nope. I think out of those 5 teams ISU has the best shot to get their wins. Id say ISU is about 50/50 with these 5 teams. None of these 5 teams unbeatable. Id say ISU has a decent shot, they get the majority of these teams at home.
Kansas- ISU should handle and beat.
Texas will be improved and shouldn't lose to ISU back to back years. KSU will be healthy (unlike last year) so they might be better and usually handle ISU anyway. TCU has Kenny Hill who used to start at A&M as their starting QB and he will be solid but probably not as good as Boykin. Baylor will probably drop off a little but I dont think it will be below ISU. Point is, a lot of teams in the big12 feel better about where they are now than a yr ago just like ISU. The games that are "winnable" in ISU fans eyes are games that the other school expects to win.
So even worse than Iowa. Got it.ISU is 10-4 vs the MAC since 1999.
Actually you could say Iowa State fans and their announcers resemble more of what fans should be. They stay positive, they stay excited with nothing to be excited for. Meanwhile we have our group that feels entitled to winning and even when the Hawkeyes do win they don't win good enough. I've never been to another teams page but do Iowa State fans constantly bitch like spoiled prom queens. It's a small minority, but those people are the ones that could learn a few things from Iowa State fans.
How much is a Chizik coin worth?Paula Rhoads was going to take isu to be he next level. isu grads were sure of it. Same with Chizik and Mac before him. In fact I recall isu being "finer with Criner" back in the 80's.
The dopes will buy anything cheerleader Petey sells them.
They simply don't know any better.
Actually you could say Iowa State fans and their announcers resemble more of what fans should be. (That depends.) They stay positive, they stay excited with nothing to be excited for. (Iowa has been there and done that. Of course, winning is like money. Once you get it, it's easy to want more......) Meanwhile we have our group that feels entitled to winning (greed is their sin) and even when the Hawkeyes do win they don't win good enough. I've never been to another teams page (it's not eye-opening by any means......the Rivals CFB Soundoff board is a better gauge, because it brings all different fanbases together.) but do Iowa State fans constantly bitch like spoiled prom queens. (ISU fans are more of the classic example of celebrating the battle before the war is over.) It's a small minority, but those people are the ones that could learn a few things from Iowa State fans. (The last few years, prior to 2015, though, that minority wasn't so small and was becoming a bandwagon unto itself........................)
The thing that's striking about it is that Hawkeye fans don't really have an excuse for feeling entitled. I don't mean that as a cheap shot. It's understandable at Nebraska (until recently), Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, but Iowa hasn't had the kind of consistent greatness that should produce the kind of fan attitude you're talking about.Good points.

Truth, they understand their national relevance compared to the big dogs in football, I think. Shoot, you didn't even mention Alabama, FSU, Stanford, Florida, Notre Dame, Oregon, etc. They are a big deal within the state borders though, and obviously have had a better overall record than ISU even if the head to head has been pretty even for quite a while. Everybody wants someone to look down on, I guess. The thing that's striking about it is that Hawkeye fans don't really have an excuse for feeling entitled. I don't mean that as a cheap shot.
