In one thread OP says The New Yorker has no credibility and within the next hour posts a twitter meme as his source.
Hmmmmm wrong on multiple accounts.
I suppose I am welcome to being corrected. The New Yorker? You serious?
I suppose I am welcome to being corrected.
You are nuts.Stating correctly that a source is heavily biased is not the same as saying it has no credibility. I simply pointed out the source was heavily biased, which is matter of fact.
Second, I have made no claim, rather posed a question. The referenced post was a link to that individual making a claim. Encouraging debate. I personally have not made any claim, rather, voted Maybe, as I am skeptical of such claim, but not entirely rule out that certain actors would happily jump on the opportunity to foment division between MAGA and other Republicans including but not limited to Elon Musk and Vivek.
If there is one thing I am absolutely certain, the deep state has no interest in Musk and Ramaswamy airing their dirty laundry to the public.
They have every motive to wage a PsyOp to foment division, I simply lack substantive proof to make such a claim.
Try and convince yourself the DOD, CIA, & FBI wouldn’t be above manipulating public opinion to save their gravy trains.
Hey @SolarHawk how’s that for substance?

‘I’m just asking questions…but here are a lot of words on why I think it’s a psyop…’You are nuts.
I hope you live alone, have no kids, and have no access to firearms.
Best of luck.
OP really trying to win that dumbest poster of the year title.
You are nuts.

fomenting “H1B PsyOp perpetrated Deep State?
The above are all the words in the OP thread title that I don’t understand.
Finally a thoughtful post on the h1b topic that suddenly appeared to gain hysteria over the last couple days apparently targeting the doge boyz.NOT a psyop at all, rather it's blowback from REAL people who have been personally impacted.
A comprehensive list of 2024 tech layoffs | TechCrunch
A complete list of all the known layoffs in tech, from Big Tech to startups, broken down by month throughout 2024.techcrunch.com
The tech layoff wave is still going strong in 2024. Following significant workforce reductions in 2022 and 2023, this year has more than 130,000 job cuts across 457 companies, according to independent layoffs tracker Layoffs.fyi. Companies like Tesla, Amazon, Google, TikTok, Snap and Microsoft have conducted sizable layoffs in the first months of 2024.
Many of these companies, like Disney, turn around and post the same jobs as H1B openings in weeks or months after the layoffs. They supposedly post in random newspapers in hick towns as part of the scam, to satisfy the advertising requirements, and to stay under the radar.
Questions Surround Disney’s Use of H-1B Visas in Replacing Domestic Workforce
Disney has a controversial history of using the H-1B visa to replace qualified American workers with cheap foreign labor.thatparkplace.com
This has been going on for a decades now, and people are getting fed up with it.
The H1B fight for white collar technical workers will be what NAFTA was for blue collar workers. The "business class" won the NAFTA battle...we'll see if this one turns out the same.

I honestly don't know. Finally a thoughtful post on the h1b topic that suddenly appeared to gain hysteria over the last couple days apparently targeting the doge boyz.
one thing i would like to know is whether the h1b program had support from the fed gov over the last 4 years and if so whether same level of hysteria was accorded to the dems in charge as now? it is difficult to tell whether this a real issue or just partisan noise?
Point C is debatable. It's easy to say racism, but it's really more about economics.I honestly don't know.
I think ihas mostly to do with the job market and the overall state of the economy. When times are good and everyone is hiring (2021 to mid-2023), H1B is an afterthought. When times are tough and no one is hiring, then H1B and abuses of the program become the "topic du jour" again. I remember Romney and Obama debating it in 2012.
So again, I think this time it's MOSTLY the state of the job market and the economy, but it might be a bit different because:
a) "America First" is a rallying cry for MAGA, and hiring Americans sort of fits in with that,
b) Vivek and Elon are two tech-bro figureheads in DOGE with lightning rod type personalities and "big tech" hiring/firing practices are in the forefront of this fight, and
c) Trump is hiring a number of Indian-Americans for his administration [LINK] and there's an element of White vs Indian racism and culture clash stirring under the surface that no one really wants to admit, but it's there
