WBB recruiting for the future

That is great because this young gun is a young stud, She is a very good BB player and she is only going to be a sophomore....wow. Check out the hudl vid...

Those are very impressive highlights for a freshman. If she continues to develop, she's going to be a star.

It also sounds like we're in a great position to recruit her. Having a family connection to a school is always a great start in recruiting. Assuming the team stays relatively healthy and no one major transfers, we should be a Top 10 team or close for the next 3 seasons, so she'd be joining one of the top programs in the country. We can also offer her the keys to the offense like we did with Clark, since her freshman season will be the year after Clark graduates. And if she has WNBA aspirations, it has to help that Iowa has had 3 pros/future pros at PG in the last decade.

Just curious is Audi a Top 100 player in the U.S. ?
Hard to know at this point. ESPN does not have her in the top 60. Blue Star does not have her in the top 50. I haven’t seen ‘23 rankings from ASGR or Prospects Nation. Prep Girls Hoops has her at 42. Has an early offer from Maryland. Will be interesting to follow her development and recruitment.

where is Audi playing prep ball.... is the fact she’s playing for a team called CY select anything to worry about? 😬

She plays for Bishop Garrigan high school in Algona. Small private school.
thanks.... man Bluder has really built something there..... seems like she’s getting better recruits all the time.... lot to be excited about with the Iowa women’s program...... I appreciate the information on here because they don’t get near thw coverage the men do..... I enjoy the women’s game..... raised 5 daughters and while maybe not as athletic as the men but they are every bit as competitive if not more so

I'm not sure a highly rated PG in the 2022 class is going to want to join Iowa while Clark still has 2 years left. They could conceivably play the 2 or 3 during those 2 years, but there are probably other programs where they could get PG minutes right away.

The 2023 class seems more likely to me. Play backup PG and the 2 or 3 for a year, then get the keys to the offense once Clark leaves. In the 2023 class, KK Arnold seems like a great prospect. She's #6 on ESPN and the #2 rated PG.
Iowa not one KK Arnold's 12 finalists. Wisconsin and Ohio State still in the running.

I think the Hawkeyes’ top guard prospect is in the class of ‘24. My guess is that Sahara Williams is the leading possibility (highest likelyhood) for ‘23. Of course this is all highly speculative since the Hawkeyes have three players in ‘23, and if any were to return for a fifth year of eligibility, that would similarly limit who they can sign for that class.
