We definitely hate Paul Finebaum here, right?

My opinion of Finebaum is that he should stick to talking about the SEC. He is a paid spokesman for the conference. Anything he says about anything other than the SEC should be considered biased. For example, his opinion on whether Texas should fire Charlie Strong is tainted because he wants Texas to continue their downward track. A weak Texas is good for A&M, Missouri, LSU, Old Miss, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and every other SEC school that recruits in Texas.

Paul is the Beano Cook of the SEC. He reminds me of one of the many local characters in Mississippi Burning. I wouldn't be shocked if he has had white robes and hoods in his closets at some point in his early life.
Somehow, I doubt that the KKK would be happy to have him as a member.

Did anyone else catch his response in a debate on if Iowa deserved their spot last night? He said "but they lost to Tennessee". So he's admitting that he knows nothing about this years Iowa team but he did see them play last year. That should count, right?

I just hate how everyone is ragging on Iowa's schedule. Saying they haven't done anything yet vs real competition.

One guy was quoted as saying, "Iowa you knew 5 years ago your schedule was going to be weak and there were no OSU, PSU, MICH, and MSU on your Big Ten Slate. Why didn't you go out and get a Big $$ opponent and play someone tough."

My response to that is, 5 years ago did we think that Wisky would struggle? Did we also think that ISU & Pitt would be automatic wins?? I mean we played two BCS teams in the non-conf. We had two road games at NW & Wisky.

I am sorry but our schedule looked pretty difficult before the season started ( @ISU normal don't play well there, @ Wisky has been on a roll and very good last couple of years, @NW a thorn in Iowa's side, and @Nebbie they are always tough at home). So to say Iowa hasn't beaten anyone yet, is just stupid.

I don't think it matters how we play at Iowa State, we are never going to get credit for that being a tough opponent.

Wow! We knew back in 2010 that the Big Ten was going to expand not once but twice, we knew what the division lineup would be even though they didn't exist yet, we even knew who our cross-division games would be against, and had the foresight to know that Wisconsin and Nebraska would be having relatively down years while Michigan State was having one of its best 3-year runs ever, even though none of today's players were on those teams yet?

I'd say that guy was complimenting our Athletic Department for seeing the future better than Nostradamus.

It was cowherd who said that last week after Iowa was announced #9 in the Poll. HE went on to talk about Illinois St and North Texas. He kept over looking the fact that Iowa played 2 BCS schools in the non-conf. Stated that Wisky/Bama went out and got a "big game"

They won last year's title by 59 freaking points, and the line of the game would likely be in the 17 point range (assuming Barrett isn't suspended).

How in the hell is that comment in any way out of line? JFC Do you even pay attention to football?
Do you? They won LAST YEARS GAME BY 50+ points but THIS YEAR: Beat Indiana by 7 and just barely squeaked by Minny by 14 points....do you really think Vegas would put the spread at 17 points to an undefeated team when they just won by less than that to a .500 Minnesota team? And lets leave JC out of this

Alabama kicked their ass. We eeked by and would have lost if their idiot QB didn't just happen to randomly drop the ball at the 1 yardline.

If you don't see the difference in those two games, then you're too stupid for me to help you.

Da Coach, watch that play again. It wasn't a random drop of the football by the Wisco QB. The IOWA DL (think it was Nate Meier) drove the OG off the line and the OG stepped on the QB foot, causing the fumble.
