There's hope again! Imagine building a roster with some transfers at a lower level paid off. Imagine what he could do at the Div 1 level. He's an architect. I was disappointed in Mascari, Isiah Jackson, and Manyawu for lack of scoring, but Tech played tough.
Crazy to fire a guy who just took you to the elite 8 two years ago.....Yep, that was in the air before they fired Terry
Must be a higher bar there.Crazy to fire a guy who just took you to the elite 8 two years ago.....![]()
I sure hope a top notch recruiter is one of them. The best on the IA staff in that regard is Spurlock I believe.Heard elsewhere: he is making calls trying to fill his staff at Iowa. It’s done. Probably announced tomorrow.

That sounds good too. You guys are plugged in. Hopefully that is indeed the case...Heard he’s making calls to Iowa players too
I was at Iowa in the mid 1980’s. There was nothing dramatically different as far as student demographics back then. Half of the student population was from Chicagoland and Carver was always sold out for men’s basketball.
Football has sold all of the tickets available for students in recent years.I'm a little skeptical of this, considering student attendance at MBB has been bad and it's even been faltering in football in recent years. Just my own observation though, I guess.
Or a higher level of stupidity.Must be a higher bar there.![]()
The arrogance of some of them makes this all the more sweet.
My freshman year was Lute Olson’s last at Iowa. Then George Raveling and, finally, Tom Davis. Good timesRemember who was basketball coach then!
Heard he’s making calls to Iowa players too
Having Beilein and Huggins back to back will do that.Yeah, what are they thinking? I mean they’ve only had eight sweet 16 teams since 2005, 2 elite eights & a final four…. we’ve had like twice that.🙄
Why are you so insufferable? I don’t do arrogance—earned or otherwise. It might be okay in your book (not surprised) but it’s not in mine.Yeah, what are they thinking? I mean they’ve only had eight sweet 16 teams since 2005, 2 elite eights & a final four…. we’ve had like twice that.🙄

Explain the difference in the makeup of the student body and the difference in location of CHA since it was built 40+ years ago that has resulted in decreased student enthusiasm for MBB compared to before? Then explain how those factors weigh much more heavily on this issue compared to the fact that the team sucks. No sense? Lol. Sure.
cmhawks is a narcissist a**hole and all around sh**** person. I blocked him long agoCmhawks is one of the biggest dbags/trolls on this board
C'mon man. Don't hold back. Tell us all what you really think.cmhawks is a narcissist a**hole and all around sh**** person. I blocked him long ago
He put in weak numbers at Wake Forest. Who would want him?Anyone hear that Omaha Biliew is interested in coming back and playing for McCollum?
73% white, it's IowaThere is no way of knowing what the current roster will look like at this point in time
You’re surprised? If we don't hear anything by Wednesday (one way or another, i.e radio silence), then I'd start to worry.
It's 7:15 on a Sunday, and to be honest I'm kinda surprised people expected, or were hopeful of, an announcement today.
Lol...that's not a considerationWill be very frustrating if they purposely delay an official announcement so as not to take attention off the women's team. The portal is opening soon, need to make their announcement tonight.
Back then there were like 3 TV channels and the best video games were Atari and the internet didn’t exist. When the internet first came around, people would go online for a bit of an escape from the real world. Now it’s almost the opposite where kids need to go outside once in awhile to escape the internet.Explain the difference in the makeup of the student body and the difference in location of CHA since it was built 40+ years ago that has resulted in decreased student enthusiasm for MBB compared to before? Is this your first day on this message board?
Huh, if it was that easy, I've wanted Fran gone years ago, if it took the 2 Moline recruits to get the job done, so be it, money well spent....All was OK before Fran started accepting recruits from Moline. Iowa was in the NCAA tourney before they showed up & got himself fired. Sorry, had to poke the bear and rub that in your pie hole one last time! 😁

Possible contact and expected to ask for a release - nothing confirmed or official so take it with a grain of saltWhat’s the Intel on Jirak?
Cool; I don't argue with that at all. Now I want that dude to explain how Chinese people and an arena that is on campus and easy to get to plays such a huge role, and the team sucking not mattering that much.Back then there were like 3 TV channels and the best video games were Atari and the internet didn’t exist. I think it’s fair to say that it’s a higher hurdle today to get kids to attend a sporting event.
