Welcome to BLACK MONDAY (formerly Predict the Monday Markets)

I would not be a buyer for a month or two. Two much volatility right now.

the people selling off are racist and they are just doing it to harm barak because of their hatred towards him.

i switched over to all bonds, after taking a beating the last few days. hopefully I switch back over to stocks at the right time to ride the wave back up.

3-1 would mean 25% chance we finish on the plus side for the day, but either way I'm just throwing out numbers in the hope that someone will become enraged and lose their mind on here.

I was asking because I think we will end up for the day. I feel about 60% chance of this.

Somebody made a ton of money today.

I hear it all hinged on the Orange Crop report...

At least the far right will have some talking point besides HRC for tonite. Likely for only a day, tho.

What a swing, went from deep red to light green to Scarlett red. Well guess that new mastercraft and Porsche can wait another year. Time to throw gas on the fire.

Per Gary037 people are worried needlessly. Anyone who jumped out of a window in 1929 was a fool, they just needed to ride it out and buy more.

Slight  differences between 1929 and yesterday. The US economy and the individual investors portfolio is much more diversified. A fool did bail yesterday. An older person near retirement, or already retired has a blend of investments designed to handle a drop. A somewhat young person like me is two decades from retiring, and, I have a blend of investments. Going down yesterday didn't cause me the slightest bit of concern. After such a sustained rise you need a correction. Otherwise there is no risk in the markets.
And, the underlying economy today is so much different than 1929 it's laughable to compare the two. Unless you have Montgomery Burns portfolio an era of sustained (Even slow growth counts), very low energy prices, and easy access to cheap credit don't equal 1929.
