the rest of the way and likely not in the B1G game. That's a 10-2 season! I wonder if that gets us in a New Years bowl with this schedule? If we're not ranked at 6-2 after a PSU loss, the last 4 opponents are likely not going to be ranked making it a tough climb in the polls. Thoughts?

I am definitely not a fan who thinks the sky is falling, I'm usually very optimistic, that being said there is just something about the offense thru 2 games that makes me think we could drop some games, especially if the Defense gets tired. Stanley's accuracy issues, WR drops, and the run game being inconsistent are definitely something to think about. I'm not saying we lose a bunch but those are definitely areas of concern. With luck those improve as the season goes on.

I've watched most of the teams that Iowa plays, all of them barring Illinois and Minnesota, look pretty solid. Nebraska, Penn St, Purdue, NW, Maryland, and hell even Indiana look okay.

If Iowa goes 10-2 and those losses are to Wiscy and PSU, they would be either the 3rd or 4th team in the B1G pecking order. The winner of the conference could get a playoff slot, provided they don't have more than one loss. The runner-up will go to the Rose. If Iowa is third, they will probably go to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. If they are 4th, the Outback Bowl would probably skip them and they would go to the Holiday Bowl. Either of those would be a fantastic reward for a season. The Hawks have a lot of work to do to get to ten wins this year. I picked them for 9-3 before the season but the offense is going to have to make tremendous strides to get to 9-3.

Until our o-line is able to generate some holes for the run game I don't think we can take any game for granted.

We don't look like an offensive team that has double digit wins in our future. I'm not sure where the leadership exists on that unit.
